We’d basically have to completely give away/rebuild the team around him. I wouldn’t hate it but if he’s wanting to go to a contender it would be tough to put a Super Bowl ready team around him with our situation and I don’t even know if it’s possible to get him regardless.

They have Lockett and Metcalf... Take out Thomas and throw in Lattimore. Their defense was trash

We can almost certainly get outbid by all of the other teams listed IMO

Yep...but Russ has a no trade clause.

AND the Jets and Dolphins have the luxury of taking a top 3 QB cost controlled for 5 years in the draft.

This is the kind of player you go all in for.

3 1's, Taysom, and Lattimore is what I would offer.

I’d keep Lattimore so we don’t completely suck at CB

I'd part with two firsts and a defense player.
We can rebuild a defense quickly.

And they all refer to the same source - LaConfora.

He’s so expensive and no telling what we’d have to trade to get him.

If im not mistaken, I believe the remaining years on his contract are fairly inexpensive compared to some of the newer contracts.

Not getting my hopes up or reading too much into it. Why wouldn't they inquire about him and gauge what kind of return it would take to get him? QB is a position of need for us, so it's at minimum, worth looking into.
Exactly. There’s a difference between contacting them to see what the price is and actually being interested in making an offer.

I'd want to, but if he became the one holding up the trade, I'd hand him over.

It is-

2021 - $19,000,000
2022 - $24,000,000
2023 - $27,000,000

So, 3 years/$70 million ($23.3 million per year)

Only 2021 is guaranteed.

id rather the 3 first and taysom. why would they even want MT when they wouldnt have anyone to throw him the ball. He'd just be bitching for his way out by the end of the season.

If u can legit win the super bowl, frick the picks. Especially bottom 5 in first round picks.

The Brees window is closed. The great defense window is not.

its a nice attention grabbing headline but I don't see why Seattle would move him unless its for a simply ridiculous offer

You know Russ wants a decent O-Line and he can get that with us.

Can we keep our line intact AND afford RW3's salary?
