Not sure what EPA is or how it's measured... but this is good, right?

We need an O Line and add a weapon or two

Bottom half in points allowed per game. Granted some of that is because the offense has been putrid. Staley's defense is good enough but they're not anywhere near top 5

All that despite us losing damn near every Time of Possession battle due to our putrid run game

It helps when the defense knows the offense won’t go 3 and out on every drive.

Add a playmaker in the front seven and more depth in the secondary and I’ll be feeling pretty good about the defense heading into 2026.

All things considered.

21st in ppg
21st in sacks
18th in int

While our offense is 30th in time of possession and ppg.

We suck, but the defense ain't the culprit

The defense needs a playmaker. Someone who can get a sack when it’s 3rd and 7 so the QB doesn’t have 5 seconds to scan the entire field. That’s my biggest issue, we have no closer who can actually end a series on defense.

I don't know what the ranking is after the Tampa game a few days ago, but heading into that game I think we were 16th as far as quarterback sacks.

Not bad.

Another thing I need to look up is how many guys have tackles for losses.

Or rather what the team total is once you add up all the ones that have been made at least

And that defense combined with Shough’s performance moved the Saints up 5 spots in the NFL power rankings to #25.

Their ranking should go up with the schedule getting significantly easier

Shough averages more 3 and outs than Spencer per game.

2.26 to 3.45.

Weve played a much easier schedule this month with a fully broken in Chase Young. Thats why the defense has looked so good

Let me ask. Your home is at stake.
If the Saints were to play a random picked team and chase young was out you are saying Ratt is the qb you would pick to win it?

And you'll hopefully be adding an elite S or Edge guy in the 1st round of the draft!

Then upgrade the WR and interior OL and we shall see.

Look dumbass, I pointed out that a poster was creating a false narrative about Spencer, proved them wrong with stats, and you're only retort is to make it about race instead of engaging in conversation.

You're the weakest of the weak for it and you know it.

I'd probably start looking for new homes regardless. Who averaged more 3 and outs doesn't equal who I'd want at qb. I think shough has a certain it factor i would love to see develop, but let's not all act like hes definitely the dude going forward to make a playoff run.

Gun to my head I'd go Shough.
