But what does that have to do with the FANS of a game suing Goodell?
I don't care about this lawsuit at all. You've made the exact same argument in terms of the players suing the nfl

Just playing white devils advocate......
Isn't the argument kinda like going to the movies and paying upfront for a 3D movie, then getting in the theater and being told you were only getting to see the 2D version and you weren't getting a refund?

Good point.
I mean I wouldn't be someone who's going to join in on the suit, but I'll sure as hell support people trying to stick it to Goodell.

I wouldn't either, but I don't think the argument that you paid for a product and are receiving a lesser product is unreasonable only, and I repeat ONLY, if you can prove there was malicious intent.
Edit: If they were going to do this, I'd of probably waited til after the results of Vilma's defamation suit. If herr Commish loses, then you have at least shaky ground to stand on to prove the whole malicious intent argument.

THE SEASON ISNT frickING OVER. People are upset we are 1-4. So am I. I get it. But you want a refund and then extra money on top of that b/c your upset about how the season started. Sell someone else your season tickets and GTFO. There are still plenty of people, myself included, happy to to go the Dome on Sundays and cheer our boys on and watch Brees break records, and watch some guys on the D develop, and watch us win. Vitt comes back soon, the D is improving, Brees is still our QB. Yes this season isnt what we hoped, but I'm so tired of everyone crying so much.

Also agree with this. It basically hinges on that. I think their suit also depends on the outcome of the season. Although I'm not going to hope for losses considering we're not even halfway done with the season, so in reality I hope the suit doesn't do well

Whoa! Gooosfrabbba.....
I'm not saying I agree with it, I'm just trying to reason what they are thinking in some sort of logical idea.
And I agree with you the timing is all wrong. If we go 1-15, then make the suit. Also, see my second post and waiting at least until Vilmas suit is heard.

I wasn't really replying to you, just kind of in general.

I don't think there is a reason to file this suit from a fans point of view. Ever. Players? yes. Coaches? yes. Even owners? maybe... maybe.
But fans just dont have any ground here. You cant sue someone b/c you dont like them.

So we can't sue Goodell for being an a-hole?

I have no idea what this means, or how this applies to me.

Actually, I have yet to see one legitimate argument for damages.
You could make plenty of legitimate arguments. The issue is proving them. That would cost any trial attorney hundreds of thousands of dollars and who knows if it'll even be conclusive. And that's assuming that a court would even care about the statistics in light of the public policy issues.

Make one. I'll wait.

Seriously? Aren't you in law school? Have you not realized that a legitimate argument can be made for just about everything?
I seriously doubt a trial lawyer would be forking up the money in this class action if there isn't a decent argument (and/or chance they may settle).

Since when has that stopped anybody from suing?

No. An argument, yes. A legitimate one from the fans point of view in this situation? I literally cannot find one. Frivolous lawsuits are frickin dumb and why people hate lawyers.

You dont know lawyers very well do you

It hasnt. I hate Goodell with a passion. I have been a saints fan for my life, and i am upset about the season, but i would love nothing more than the opportunity to sit across a table from this lawyer and tear him apart.
I'm waiting on that legitimate argument.

You jacking off while reading this thread? You seem to have some sort of weird obsession with it.
Link me to the claims and I'll point them out to you. But then again, you could just read them yourself.

Oh I dont have one, and I think the entire idea is dumb. But I was just pointing out that plenty of people sue for illegitimate things all day every day.
