@LarryHolder: Group of #Saints fans filed a class action lawsuit against Roger Goodell in U.S. District Court asking for $80 million in damages.

Anyone want to join in? I'm surprised it took this long to get together honestly

I told my parents, who I get my tickets from, to look into that. I would imagine they have a pretty damn good case.

All the lawyers on this board advised against this.

Well, I don't know how plausible this is, but you could look at it like you're losing money. For example, we have 6 season tickets, 4 in a row that we use every game, and 2 in a row a little lower they sell to help pay for all of the tickets. Now you're getting less money from tickets you sell. And now most likely there's no way you're getting playoff tickets, which season ticket holders pay for already.
Basically you're losing income but you could also you could go from the degraded product angle.

plus there's the angle of nearby business owners who likely won't get revenue generated from a home playoff game

Would have to prove that the Saints would hav made the playoffs with Sean Payton. Not sure how you would do that.

pretty much how I feel. It looks petty and pathetic IMO...but I hope it gives someone at NFL office a headache for awhile.

All they have to do is not get immediately thrown out of court. Giving Goodell more bad PR and making the owners sweat about their financials being made public is the most that will come of this, but that could be enough to help things settle more favorably for the Saints.

Its funny and sad at the same time. They have balls, but look stupid. I'm not embarrassed about it, but I won't support their fruitless cause.
