Youre clueless. This is what happens when you are getting you cap down, you restructure your highest cap hit. Carr’s restructure was OBVIOUS.
I never said it wasn’t obvious.
You’re clueless, because if our cap wasn’t mishandled or so shitty we wouldn’t have to double down on a mediocre qb. Carr’s restructure is only OBVIOUS because of the shitty job Mickey has done managing the cap.

I wanted to give them a long leash given his overall tenure here. Its largely been a success.
I kinda agreed with his method of keeping things in tact. But it failed and even then i wanted to see if he would clean his mess.
At this point i just kinda feel like he is making moves out of spite now. He is determined to make this work for some reason.
Where he lost me is comments during the season after the lions game and in particular comparing Dennis to HOF coaches. He needs to be put in a home.

i think they were going to restructure him no matter how it turned out, so they could release him after next year without penalty of owing him anything. just something to give the team option to void his last year.
Wait
What?

Seriously frick this team. Every team in the league that is worth a shite found a young QB in the draft and developed the team around them with young players and the occasional 2nd tier veteran player that wouldn’t break the bank and we are giving a league average QB commitments for years down the road that will screw their chance of improving. This is an embarrassment I can see why Sean Payton wanted out in 2017.

Loomis don’t have a fricking clue about talent

This is the key.
This strategy has failed. We are mediocre at best with an old roster that is aging rapidly.
Why are we tripling down on this failure of a strategy?

DA knows Carr is just good (shitty) enough to keep him in that 7-8 win range which makes it harder to fire him. Going with a young QB puts that in jeopardy, it’s all self preservation, like firing Carmichael after this season.

Carr is a below avg qb but the ppl on here who love him going to make excuses for him it was ol,wr,rb and oc fault he never look good until the game was out hand empty numbers he put this season

Have you looked at what the alternative looks like?
The timeline of just getting out of the bad contracts we have is like 2-3 years.
Now, if it were me, that's what I'd do. But, Loomis knows he won't survive that.

Correct take.
This bitch was saying the same shite when we were 11-5, 13-3, 13-3, and 12-4 etc. (2017-2020) we’re going to be in cap hell blah blah.
He likes to pretend and hates when I post the we were ranked 12th in cap space last year (2023), because he said the dead cap would be shitty four five years ago etc. and was wrong as always.

basically got our current OC fired, our former pro bowl WR hates him
I’m all for disliking the move but this is just disingenuous. Pete was over his head and didn’t want the job to begin with. He got fired because Allen needed a scapegoat.
Mike Thomas is a head case. He also got into it with our Super Bowl champion and first ballot hall of famer QB. Mike Thomas is a Mike Thomas problem.

What metrics are you using to say he's below avg?
Posted on 2/2/24 at 7:56 am to moneyg
They'll eat dead money on Thomas and probably Lattimore the next 2 seasons. Hopefully with Lattimore we get a good, cheap player though.

frick me. We’re going to suck for a while.
