Well…I mean…if you had to pick between the Saints and Falcons, I think it’s a pretty easy choice.

There’s a pod of Saints fans in the Canadian Maritimes provinces and Quebec.

There’s a reason they aren’t the San Antonio Saints right now

There are 4.5 million people in Louisiana. If just one-tenth or 10% of those 4.5 million are Saints fans, that is 450,000 Saints fans.
There are 3 million people in Mississippi. If just one-fifteenth of those 3 million are Saints fans, that is 200,000 Saints fans.
There are 5 million people in Alabama. If just one-twentieth of those 5 million are Saints fans, that is 250,000 Saints fans.
This is not counting the rest of the Saints fan base around the country and world, which is probably at least another 50,000.

So, VERRRRRRY conservatively: 450,000 + 200,000 + 250,000 + 50,000 would equal about 950,000 Saints fans, or just under 1 million. And I would bet it's more than that, especially in Louisiana.....

Yeah I wouldn’t doubt it. TV ratings also prove that.

We have a top 5 fan base easily.

That’s pretty cool but Saints is nowhere near top 5 of fan bases.

I would argue there are over 100,000 true Saints fans in Texas with all the expats.

The Saints bar I go to in Denver is fricking popping on game day. Anywhere from 100-200 Who Dats every game. The owner is from LA, and always puts on a hell of a party for the games.

Lol just take a look at the Tv ratings.

We are easily a top 5 fan base. Not even close. The only fans I think have more and just more die hard are: Packers, Cowboys, Steelers, Patriots. Maybe the Seahawks.

Giants fans have proven to be pretty awful despite having a lot of success, same with Philly and they’re generally just shitty and will turn on their back on the team and have no loyalty. Can’t really think of any other fan base that can compete with those others other than us and maybe the Bills and Chiefs. Both fan bases were pretty loyal through some up and down years. I don’t think they have as many spread throughout the country as the Saints, though. They’re generally more localized. Saints have a lot of influence in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and East Texas all the way to Austin

We’ve also consistently been top 10 or top 5 in attendance for a decade. Same for Ratings.

This wouldn't really surprise me. There are a ton of ppl with no real team to follow that latched onto the Saints after Katrina and the success of 2006 and the Super Bowl run in 2009. It really was kind of a storybook rise. City gets nearly wiped out, team almost leaves. Team returns, city rebuilds and the longtime losers finally win and win it all a few years later and remain one the dominant teams in the league.
