This is pretty cool. The comments say it was generated from Midjourney.com. I assume there will be an update each week. Enjoy.

Has anyone here used a rope applicator for weeds in their lawn? I have some grassy weeds that I need to eradicate in my Bermuda lawn and not bending over to paint glyphosate would be awesome.

Then I guess I shouldn't have a hard time with them. They'll be in pots so if I really want to get rid of them I can just dump them in the trash. No trying to fish for bulbs in the ground to kill them.

They'll be in almost all shade in a north facing outdoor patio. Bright indirect light but never really direct sunlight on the foliage.

Recently purchased some elephant ear (Alocasia) bulbs for some pots on the patio. I've never planted elephant ears so I'm wondering if there is any advice H/G Board has? Thanks.

Exactly. Dude deserves a chance to be on a team that doesn’t shite the bed. What a day.

I’ll say it…

I’m rooting for Matt Ryan to do well in Indy. I hope it makes falcons die-hards go absolutely insane. Ftf
Ha! Unfortunately, when I cut my lawn in some areas, it feels like my wheels are going to fall of from all the bouncing.

I have a typical Houston suburban yard...4,300 SF of actual turf area. I believe leveling by hand will be easy enough with the rakes.

I'm planning on leveling my yard for the first time this summer and I've got several questions for the pros. My soil is in pretty rough shape (home builder) and I'm hoping to not only solve drainage issues, but make a big difference in the unevenness of the bermudagrass.

Leveling Tools:
Does anyone here have a preference on what type of leveling rake to use?:

Home Depot - 30" Leveling Rake

Home Depot - 30" Landscape Rake

Process:
Immediately after aerating, I'm going to use an organics-rich Leveling Soil to help condition my existing soil. This being the first time leveling, most of my efforts will be attempting to erase divots, washouts, foot tracks, and low spots.

I assume in the years to come I'll use a masonry sand to fine-tune the leveling once my immediate concerns are fixed.

Does this method seem viable? Or should focus on leveling with sand and provide nutrients later?

Probably Stoney’s Bar & Grill in Denver. Awesome place to watch a Saints game.
What exactly do you mean by ‘leveling’. Seems like from the answers you’ve got so far, you are completely removing sod, regrading and then reseeding/resodding.

In my mind, leveling a lawn is top dressing and working in a sand/soil mix up to 2” max to eliminate minor low spots, and trouble areas. Existing sod is allowed to grow up through new sand/soil. This would be way less expensive. My neighbor paid $750 for this in the Houston area. 55’ small residential lot.
Watch this video and start at about 3:20. He goes through his lessons learned on removing fence posts.

This guy’s channel is awesome, by the way. If anyone here is a woodworker or wants to learn from someone who started all on his own, I highly recommend it.

Edit: welp nevermind. With the posts gone this doesn’t help at all…
With the cooler temps coming, I'm hoping to apply my first round ever of preemergent herbicide to my common bermuda.

Since it's cheaper than Prodiamine or Dithiopyr, I'm hoping to use Anderson's 0.48 Barricade Herbicide. Does anyone here have any good/bad experience with this stuff? I'm in the Houston area, if that matters.

I also like the idea of a broadcasted granular application opposed to a spray. I'm not sure if there is one type of application that is better than the other.
If there is a family in need of getting out of town for the week, please read:

I booked a 1 BR condo for our family vacation in Santa Rosa Beach with check-in Monday evening. It’s looking like it will be impossible for me to get there in time now since we’re traveling from Houston.

Check in is Monday (8/30) evening and the reservation lasts until Friday 9/3 morning.

If someone needs it we can transfer the reservation over the phone. Simply asking for reimbursement of the reservation. $815 for 4 nights (1BR w/king and pullout couch, 1st floor beachfront). Not a bad place to regroup and reset before tackling the cleanup.

Here is a street view in Google maps of where the GI camera is located. From what I can tell the camera is located on a power pol on the south side of the street

GO feed Just went down for me. Anyone else?
Check out Pearland along the 288 corridor. It’s booming and you can get downtown rather easily.
That’s what I’m thinking too. Get this kids to bed. Put on a podcast with a good headlamp and get out there to paint in the evening/night when it’s not blistering hot outside. I’m thinking if I add a dye to the roundup it will help tremendously in knowing where I’ve been.

My only question is will painting with roundup or something like it, will it kill torpedo to the root?
Nevermind, Ronk. I see your post above. Painting glyphosate, it is.
If all other selective herbicides only control it, not kill it…. Would you suggest painting it with glyphosate as the first step to actually kill it without killing my Bermuda?

I’d be willing to do this if I knew it would actually make a big difference
