You still going on with this?

Why not? Apologizing for the city isn’t going to help. Comical that on both the Saints and Pels boards first page has multiple crime posts. You won’t find that on many other teams message boards.

Nobody is apologizing for anything
What does this have to do with the saints and pelicans? These are sports boards.

Why would you cheer for the saints to move?
Posted on 1/8/23 at 8:25 pm to DBG
Because if Teedy doesn’t pull her head out of her arse, there will be no Saints or Pelicans to worry about.
Posted on 1/8/23 at 8:27 pm to Legion of Doom
Why? What are they going to do?

Because they’ll have a better chance for success in San Antonio or elsewhere. Payton left because of the condition of the city and attracting free agents to NOLA is going to be difficult unless we overpay.
As the city deteriorates, I’ve come to accept I could easily be a Saints fan if they move. Let them go so they can thrive.

Once Gayle dies someone with deep pockets will buy the teams and move them,

NOLA shithole doesn't need to be said every post.
Btw, LE I owe you an apology regarding LSU Basketball. I was bent and called you out.

There is a solution: Don't park in uncovered lots downtown especially at night.
Posted on 1/8/23 at 8:32 pm to Geauxldilocks
That doesn’t answer my question tho. Why would you cheer for them to move? Is it a political thing?
Posted on 1/8/23 at 8:33 pm to Legion of Doom
It will cost roughly $10 billion to buy the saints, move them, and build a stadium
Good luck with that
Good luck with that

Drizz all good brother, I come here to shoot the shite and that’s part of it

No, it’s a fan thing. They’ll be better off elsewhere attracting to coaches, players, trainers, etc.
If that’s true because of NOLA politics, well it’s deserved and a consequence of electing shite.
Posted on 1/8/23 at 8:36 pm to DBG
Ok man, you do you. What about the Pels? Or is that another board?
For the record, I don’t want either team to leave, but the “leadership “ in NOLA is a joke.

I’m just telling you the truth. I’ve already crunched the numbers on sale of the teams, relocation fees, and costs of new stadiums.
Not to mention long term leases already in place and in negotiation with the state
This is silly talk

No it’s not. If you’re from here you know it’s part of our fabric. You are letting the dems melt you down like a bitch

No. The Saints leaving would shame those democrat losers in a public humiliating way. Deep down you know NOLA is no longer a major league city and doesn’t deserve the Saints or Pels.

The only people dumb enough to suggest the Pels and Saints should be relocated/sold are just LSU fans who are mad that the city of New Orleans supports those franchises at a better level than BR does LSU. It’s quite sad.
I wouldn’t say it’s solely LSU fans, although there are tons that fit your theory, but many people that live outside of NOLA have some irrational hatred for the city, in good times (past) or bad (present). I have a brother that was born in NOLA and now lives in Covington that is like this. When he was younger NOLA wasn’t crime ridden but he wanted to live in a more rural area for whatever reason. He didn’t get the city back then and started shitting on it immediately for any and all reasons. He polluted his kids’ minds and they have hated New Orleans since they were young, 30+ years ago. I imagine the posters on every (anti)NOLA thread are like them. The city in its current state is indefensible but many posters would still shite on it if it were a Mecca. Really weird, like ‘tell me where the city touched you’ weird.
