The longer Watson’s decision is taking makes me wonder if Atlanta is asking him to take his time so they can get ready to deal Ryan and get there cap situation in hand? It hurts their conference rivals as they not only miss out on Watson but also risk not getting another decent starting free agent QB and other potential signings. Would not surprise me if this transpires. Hope I’m wrong.

I mean

I think it’s plausible

And it would make sense for Watson to agree to do that, knowing he will be a falcon

It’s all speculation of course but it’s not that far fetched

It’s extremely far fetched. What’s the difference in a few hours one way or the other

Not sure they are getting played, but I bet Atlanta is having a hard time figuring out how to move Ryan and his massive contract. They want Watson, but they may not be able to make it work. One would assume Ryan has some type of no trade clause as well right?

Careful. You could be called names for agreeing. Thing is those losers don’t have the depth to think that far. Just got to resort to name calling. How weak.

If ATL lands Watson, they're going to give up 4 1sts with a terrible roster. They won't be relevant for 4-6 years.

I would trust Saints organization to have multiple contingency plans for QB if Watson goes to ATL. We have much better leadership and a grasp on winning in the NFL than ATL or CAR.

shite, we were Covid and the fricking Rams away from making the playoffs without our best WR for the entire season and having to play 20 different QBs.

In the board room that kind of stuff happens. But you point out the possibility and people get childish.

Winston isn’t signing anywhere until this is over. Once Watson gets dealt he’ll have two more teams that could enter a bidding war

I think he wants to play for Atlanta but knows their roster is trash and is worried about being stuck in a terrible situation like in Houston. Saints are the clear better option but there might be too much Falcon in him to pull the trigger. This thing has dragged on so long I could care either way at this point.

I think this is exactly what’s happened. He knows he should play for us and would win for us but his heart is in GA and wants to make it work but knows they don’t have a great track record
