Neither one has an established, true number one wide receiver right now.

Chris Olave has shown flashes of brilliance but has also looked soft and not strong with his hand-fighting against DBs at times. He hasn’t reached his full potential yet. A.T. Perry could be a big physical receiver for us but he hasn’t shown speed or explosiveness yet to be the #1 guy.

Kyren Lacy at LSU has shown flashes of brilliance at times but has also been a very frustrating player to watch at times because he gets the dropsies. Transfer WR C.J. Daniels could end up being that dude but he’s an unknown right now.

Saints have ALOT of issues.

Chris Olave is not one of them. Chiefs just won a super bowl. Not one of their wide receivers is as good as Olave.

There are probably a few teams that would trade their receiver situation to have Olave and Shaheed.

Don’t dodge and distract the conversation to something else other than what we’re taking about.

The Saints are not the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes is not walking through the door in New Orleans any time soon. He’s one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time and makes up for a lot of deficiencies just like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning used to do.

A few other teams wanting to have the Saints wideouts doesn’t mean that we have a true number one receiver. We’re still trying to get Olave there, but he’s not there yet.

LSU will be fine at WR. Lacy will break out. Daniels will slide right in along with Zavion Thomas. I'm more worried about the young guys breaking out.
Sampson, Anderson, Parker

Saints? Well it doesn't matter if you don't have an OL to give your QB time.

chiefs have a generational qb and a TE that is a significantly better receiver than Olave.

Lol you just mad he completely invalidated your argument with one sentence.

WR1 isn’t a problem for this team.

As was pointed out, many other teams do far better with much worse.

We have plenty of problems on this team, mainly head coach. WR isn’t one of them.

I believe in the 3 year WR rule. Works for most of them. What you are as a WR after year 3 is pretty much what you will be.

Are you trying to prove my point?

He's not a quarterback or a tightend. He's one of the best players/producers on the team and he's on his rookie deal. Could he be better? Yea sure. I actually thought we drafted him too early but he is producing so why bitch about it? He's played in 31 of 34 games. He could've very well been a complete bust. He's been a top 25 WR in both his first two years. With two complete bums throwing him the ball.

Yea exactly so why are we bitching about Olave. Why don't we bitch about the rest of the team.

Its like trying to make a pizza. Your cheese is very good but the sauce and bread are shite. Your solution is to bitch about the cheese not being good enough to make up for the rest of the ingredients tasting like shite.

Only 15 WRs have more yards and receptions than Olave since he entered the league. There are 32 NFL teams

There’s WR1s and there are elite WR1s. Consider he’s missed 3 games, had some big drops downfield and offers minimal YAC. There’s a path to becoming elite

Olave
Shaheed
A.T. Perry
Bub Means
Juan Johnson
T. Hill
Kamara
Equanimeous Tristan Imhotep J. St. Brown

We should have plenty of options to distribute the ball in the passing game.

To be fair the Chiefs also have the most talented QB of all time

I’m more worried about Carr and the oline than Olave being a true number 1 receiver. That dude is a stud.

I beg to differ. Between Olave’s drops. fumbles. Incomplete route running, zero effort for YAC, he’s single handedly cost us at least 6 wins in the past 2 years. All while being the piece that the organization spent the most assets on the team to acquire.

LSU usually has a better wide receiver depth chart than the Saints do.
