End thread:

K Chip Lomiller

He missed 11 of 13 extra points! The Dome actually cheered when an extra point was made!

No one failed at their position worse than Lomiller did.

jamal brown

really??

Go look up the running games ypc when we run to left side of the line. Brown may have some false start issues when he's up against a speedy DE, but all in all he's a solid left tackle.

Then he shouldn't have been playing. If he thought he was a liability to the team, he shouldn't have gotten out there.

The amount of suckage that Fred Thomas contributed to the Saints was overwhelming.

You're the kind of guy that thinks if a touchdown is thrown to a corner's side it's automatically his fault, aren't you? Every corner in the league is going to have some bad times if they're forced to play with Josh fricking Bullocks.

So if players are doing bad they are suppose to quit??? If a player was starting and quit I don't want him at that point.
The Saints signed Ashley Ambrose, Fakhir Brown, Dale Carter, Steve Israel, Kevin Mathis and Jason Craft who could never take his spot. MM was the only trade they made who came in and could start for them over Thomas. all the other guys sucked.

Besides the epic signing of those guys, the Saints haven't drafted a corener back since 2002 until they picked up U. Young and T. Porter. (By the way, that was Keyuo Craver in the 4th round) Before that it was Fred Weary in the 4th round of '98 and before that it was Alex Molden in '96.

Don't blame Thomas because he was better than what the Saints could sign or draft.

Jonathan Sullivan. We traded up to get this guy, bypassing Trufant.

I would agree on Sullivan but I could also add Sedrick Hodge, Courtney Watson, and lets not forget Albert Connell. Wtf was Haslett thinking?

fred thomas was the best corner the saints had when he wore that damn club.. he also lead the team in interceptions that year.. fred thomas tremendously declined when sean payton took over and that left corner side has been getting burnt ever since.

the correct answer is josh bullocks.

Yup. Fred Thomas was the best DB on the team for a while, which I think precludes him from being named worst ever.

I was thinking Vaughn Dunbar but reading Heath Shuler and Kerry Collins made me rethink.

Toi Cook.

The weakest link on our best defenses. Many memories of Jerry Rice, "Flipper" Anderson, Andre Rison, Michael Haynes, etc. running past him.

Don't let the years that have gone by cause your memory to be fuzzy. Yes, he played with the dome patrol...but he still never warranted at least one Pro Bowl trip with that front seven giving him all that pressure.

Fred Thomas was a solid corner, the best we had for a few years, until he got old and injured. We kept trotting him out there though because we refused to draft or sign a CB besides Jason Craft who couldn't beat out Fred Thomas. Thomas played with a f'n cast on his hand for half a year. Fred Thomas was a solid corner who played injured, was a tough sonofabitch and looked bad at the end of his career because he was old and injured. FRED THOMAS One helluva Saint.

Nice.
