Ok, he hit for a high avg vs the weak non conference schedule and has been awful vs any decent pitching. When you hit super high vs crap you can still suck arse vs good pitching and have a high avg.
Nope. Watched all year. Mitchell killed weak competition to pad his stats and has done jack shite since postseason play. No wait... I think he did hit 1 hr.

Yeah I guess when you dominate those mid week games to pad your stats who cares if you hit in the postseason as long as you did well enough against crap competition to still have a 320 avg with a hitless postseason. I'm glad all our players dont do this.
A mini slump would be if your popping pitches up and swinging at bad pitches. Mitchell standing there watching strikes all game every game is just pathetic.

He's fast and thats all that matters in baseball aparently. His obp is high because pitchers throw all breaking pitches to him and they miss the zone with it.

I guess batting him 4th gives him the best chance to hit with runners on base.
Rice really shouldn't use the injury excuse. Nobody forced them to pitch the guy.
The guy will get his hits. I think the key is to have him bat with nobody on base. Get the guys in front of him out and he can't hurt you unless its a HR of course.
