Brought it up at the time so its not hindsight, but like he's been for a decade+, Loomis was short sided with that trade.
Had the choice which year he wanted the first round pick and of course he wanted it immediately. The pick we got came from the 49ers so it was late. The only way the pick wasn't going to be better this year was if Denver went to the Superbowl. Now that pick is going to get Payton a franchise QB.
Breese looks like he'll be a player so its not a disaster, but still...

I can't wait to trade into the 3rd round for some shitty Offensive Guard while giving up our 2025 1st and 2nd round picks
