Remember when LSU promoted Orgeron instead of making a clean break…?

That’s how the Allen hiring feels. Of course if I had any expectation Allen would win a Super Bowl in his 3rd year I’d take it. But ultimately LSU football needed an overhaul.

That’s where I am with the Saints and Allen. Clear the deck and bring in someone with fresh ideas, a new angle.

I’d say this is more like the end of the 2015 season when Joe Alleva knew he had to fire Les but chose not to bc it was a tough decision and he didn’t have the balls. So he made LSU fans go through a wasted season in 2016 bc he didn’t have balls. That’s what the Saints are doing to fans if they don’t fire DA.

Didn’t LSU have the best season of All Time a few seasons after Coach O was promoted?

I know Burrow and others deserve a lot of credit. But Coach O went and got Burrow and also took steps to move away from the 1940’s offense LSU ran under Les Miles, so Coach O also deserves credit.

There’s got to be a better analogy to be made out there than DA & Coach O.

Which is why I said “if” I had the expectation DA would have us win a SB. I don’t have the expectation a “perfect storm” type season will happen.

Well, at least LSU got a National Championship out of it.

Right, perfect storm. But didn’t lsu realize rather quickly the program was in shambles?

Perhaps a not so perfect analogy. Just has the same feeling to me that in the end a housecleaning is needed. I don’t expect the perfect storm in this instance. Can’t count on that.

Much better analogy.

Say what you will about Ed Orgeron, but that dude had a fire in him that Dennis Allen will never have.

After the Natty, maybe not so much.

In a weird way I think Dennis Allen is more capable of it than Coach O was… it just luckily happened, but I don’t see DA trying to bed every woman in the front office

I mean, he did. Joe Burrow literally credited O for getting him and giving him a chance during his Heisman speech.
