The OP was about the drama this summer. I
I know. It's dumb because it has nothing to do with this.

But I do know multiple fights in a year is something more than competition.
But nothing to do with Brees. Mike and Chauncey just might not like each other. That's not rare on teams.
Do you not see how ridiculous the reaching to involve Brees is?

Talks all the shite about unity then proceeds to attack his black brother.two faced imbecile.

While I think it is a case where they don’t like each other, I also think the issues with the summer have raised tensions in the locker room as well.
And I’m trying not to necessarily defend the OP, but I get the feeling this team is not unified at all. Something like the summer issues may just have been the catalyst to create tension or simply revealed it.
I’ll also say that without a preseason, where these fights usually occur, can also be a cause for the lack of team building as that’s where, in theory, you work this shite out.

But that's still dumb. The team didn't have issues all over the place, lots of them(including both Mike and Chauncey) had an issue with one guy that isn't involved in this.

You keep labeling it as one person, in this case Brees, whereas I’m saying the overall team, coaches, players, trainers, etc. if you think attacking the proverbial leader of your team hasn’t created animosity among players, then why did Thomas get suspended for not fighting with Chauncey but something he did toward the coaches. I get he’s a POS at times but that just screams more team problems than just animosity toward brees.
So like I said, was it created due to the events of the summer OR were they there and we are just seeing them play out? Then again maybe it’s just another shitty 2020 thing.

No matter what anyone says, there is a segment of the fanbase on here that thinks it was perfectly ok for teammates to call drew brees a racist. It’s insane how they justify it.
Lsutigers1992 is one example.

Can’t wait for this to blow up and Payton get sent out the door. Good coach but he has been given too much control.

Do you really believe every white player on the team willingly swallowed all of the shite the black players forced ont hem. They took it for the team but no doubt there is lingering resentment.
Sure, every team espoused the BLM mantra. But no other team had to deal with a high profile issue as occurred with Brees. This fractured the carefully orchestrated locker room that Payton and Loomis built over the last few years. This fracture was not totally along racial lines, either as some black players have an appreciation of the impact Brees has had on their lives and the lives of many people in the community of all races. There were others like Thomas who took the easy route knowing they would be supported by the echo chamber of media, NFL players and glitterati.

No teammate called Drew Brees a racist.
But if they had, people who think that would be ok are just a stupid and pitiful as the people who call him a beta male cuck nonstop.

What does any white player on the team have to do with a fight between Thomas and CGJ?

Wish Johnson would've broke Thomas' jaw.

but if he doesn't say what we want him to say then he is not with us.
They demand that he not just SAY the right things but he must also now ‘PROVE’ that he’s learned his lesson. That he will never dare to speak truthfully & give his honest opinion about something, even when asked directly for said opinion, w/o first running it by a Racially Biased WOKE expert!
Of course all that above could be condensed into a much simpler statement. Something along the lines of:
Brees is white & wealthy so hes dripping with WHITE PRIVILEGE & therefore should know that a White Man isn’t allowed to be proud of his race, Country nor his Country’s FLAG! If he is & dares to admit it I publicly well - HES A RACIST !

Not surprising. This is the guy that called out our real leader and look what he does.
You can tell he’s a democrat in every way....

Did you totally miss the context of the points I raised?
This event is part of a broader tapestry writ large.

This board is a disaster. Literally everything turns into Malcom jenkins is a pos, brees is a cuck. It’s ridiculous. Not sure how any of the political bs has anything to do with this. They’ve fought before. It’s not a huge deal. MT got his contract and earned every cent of it last year. The haters come out in full force

Lets not forget the politicization was thrust upon those of us who would prefer to enjoy sports as a diversion from the daily issues and turmoil including politics. Disagreeing with political stances taken by some players does not make us racists or haters. Unfortunately this myth has been perpetuated by an ever compliant media , virtue signaling corporations and the unholy alliance of athletes, Hollywood glitterati and academia. We can certainly support the push for justice in this country, but we must not blindly embrace every demand forced upon us by those aggrieved. Reason and objectivity must prevail over emotion and anarchy.

And the people who were so upset about it are the people keeping it relevant on this board. If you watch a game there is no mention of any of it. It would already be forgotten if it weren’t for the people who keep it relevant by bringing it up every minute in here.
