Remember Michael Thomas' disparaging comments about Drew Brees' ( initial ) stance against kneeling during the anthem. After Drew then knelt before his teammates and begged forgiveness for such a grievous offense as to honor his deceased grandfathers for their military service the team had those " soul searching " team meetings where certain players were forced to " listen ", Then after this cleansing they all said the right things.

This was once one of the tightest locker rooms in the leagues and it reflected in their play the last few seasons. Anyone still believes this is a tight locker room?

Guess you begin to believe you can do anything when you can call out the greatest player in franchise history for his alleged failure to support the cause , even when he has donated more time and money to advance the lives of so many minority children in the city.

Hey, why don’t you you just “shut up and watch?” I mean that’s what y’all say to everyone else with an opinion different than you’re own.

And Thomas appears to be one in the center of all of them. The next receiver head case problem maker in the league.

You do realize the same two players got in a fight last year right? Some guys just get competitive in practice, stop being such a pussy

Or maybe, and hear me out, you don’t talk about politics at work. Cause when you do, there is always division, even if people have the same philosophy or not.

Is this because of politics? Or are you inserting politics into a situation that isn’t there?

The OP was about the drama this summer. I honestly don’t know why they fought. But I do know multiple fights in a year is something more than competition.

They also got in a fight at the beginning of last year. At least do your research before saying something stupid.

This is a reflection of the status of the team as they relate to each other. The fact that some players refused to respect the views of other players even though those views were not specifically directed to them and were not in opposition to their own are indicative of a fractured locker room. They can all say the right things but this team has not been the same. I would bet there is sentiment in support of Brees by some objective black players. Its appalling when Thomas can say Brees can give his money , but if he doesn't say what we want him to say then he is not with us.
