Alot of the 1st downs were directly related to the defensive adjustments to bush set in motion before the snap. That blitz pickup for the conversion to Meach, first down to Graham, TD to Graham, etc...

if he's not leaping over defenders and spinning out of tackles while gaining 1000 yards, i don't want him.

You have to admit, it's kinda sad we are having to stoop down to blitz protection in order to praise Reggie. I mean, his running ability, receiving ability, his punt return ability... and we're talking about picking up 3 blitzes.

Jimmy Graham's TD was directly attributable to Reggie Bush going in motion across the line to the left side of the field. The Falcon linebackers adjusted accordingly and left a small window for Drew to fit in the slant pass.

Reggie is truly one of the best motioners in the NFL, he does with such conviction and ease.

I dont know about all that. PT was doing a much better job of picking up the blitz. I was defending Bush in that other thread with you bc that other guy was just an idiot but Bush has not had a good year. Good news is, the playoffs seem to be his thing so I'm hoping he turns it around.

Think of it this way...would the defense adjust it's alignment presnap if Julius Jones or Pierre Thomas motions wide?

All in all, the Saints couuld have scored that TD with ease had Graham run a fade and Drew throw it to his back shoulder, with or without that motion.

True. But a broken leg can be a bit distracting.

Thought he had a very solid game against the Rams and played decently last night.

He's a weapon we should keep with a restructured deal.

I would hope so since it's been blatantly obvious for a while now that PT is a better screening threat than Reggie.

Yes, all defenses adjust when the running back goes in motion. That is why you always see guys put in motion.

Doesn't matter if its Reggie Bush or me.

I still think he should be a kick returner. He should also be a wide receiver. There's no way he should be making this much money, but hindsight is 20/20.

We are basically paying 8 million to a player to chipblock. I would rather let him go and we can get 2 or even 3 good players on Defense that will actually be productive.

Look I like Reggie. He does cause matchup problems, but come on man. He is like the highest paid RB in the league. They are 20 other guys in the league that demand a whole lot more respect than Bush...

It's kinda sad that you consider giving a player credit for contributing in a positive manner for a W no matter how he did it, sad. Yes, that was a run on sentence, and yes I am out of e-breath....

Outside of letting DT's run right by him during parts of the game, goodwin did an awesome job at hiking the ball to drew.
