Not completely. There's a point to be found there if you are seeking the truth. If the tint is too dark on your glasses, you won't find it though.

Mine are a little different than that, but close enough.

chad is good for a few laughs. you can't take him seriously, it's not like he posts anything here that's meant to be taken that way.

That even though Fujita helped contribute to the Lombardi, We weren't willing to pay that ridiculous contract the Browns offered him? Yeah, same thing will happen with Bush if another team throws a ton of money at him, because I don't believe we will. Payton wants Bush here and sees value in him for our offense, so I will trust our SB winning coach.

Man, you are so close to the fountain of wisdom... reggie's production is atrocious. He's not even worth keeping if we paid him poor man's money with what he's giving back on the field.

Payton also wanted Fujita here...

wathcing closely last night (esp the shitty behind the QB ESPN cameras) it was apparent, when reggie went in motion, the entire LB core and safeties went his way, which opened up a TON of space for meach.

when PT was in the game, defense was confused because they had to account for "is it reggie, or PT?" in a no huddle tempo and figure out where to lineup, which is a huge reason PT was huge on the TD drive after the botched McClure snap.

The D was literally standing around looking to the sidelines when drew snapped it.

Whatever they were confused about, I'll guarantee it wasn't "hey who is that in the backfield??"

I'm no Saints insider, believe me, but I do know one thing from an "in person" conversation I happened to be privy to a few weeks ago by pure happenstance. Sean Payton disagrees with you. He wants the guy on the team. But maybe you know better. I don't claim to be an expert.

ETA: I hate these kinds of posts because they can be bullshite. But in this particular case it happens to be true.

I want to see more Bush up the middle. Last year he was running fools over. He's probably still dinged up though. Ivory come back please.

I understand Payton wants reggie on the team. Not one statement I have made disagrees with that notion. But there is a line that is drawn in the sand, Loomis is the nuts and bolts of the front office and won't make a deal that doesn't make sense for us. It's going to come down to Reggie, what's he going to demand in the renegotiation of his contract. He's due 11 million, what's he going to want in a contract to give that up for a long term deal.... I have my doubts that middle sensible ground could be reached. How do you offer a running back 30 million dollars when he didn't even run for 100 yards?

Nobody has brought up the possibility that maybe Reggie Bush wants to be elsewhere.

No doubt Loomis has final say (other than Tom Benson . . . and believe me that old fart still keeps his eye on everything). That said, Payton has more say so regarding personnel than most coaches in the NFL from what I can see. And I've always said the contract is going to have to be restructured.

There may be a couple of opportunities he'd looked at I suspect. But I have never heard anything suggesting he's unhappy. He likes the personnel he has to work with. He likes the opportunities he gets on offense in Payton's scheme to get the ball in space.

I'm with you on that one. I can definitely see the Chargers wanting to throw some money at Reggie and he would have more opportunity at a place like that than what he's been getting in NO as of late.
