like I said - some times.

im not detracting from his ability - the guy can flat play, as is evidenced almost every year - what I was saying was, if he gets upset at the team or the FO, he tends to be petty and play like he doesn't give a shite - again, see game 1 this year. he has already made it clear he doesn't need the NFL or anyone in it - that level of Ego will not cut it most places.

What is possibly to much for a top 5 qb in the league? You rather keep Jameis and be mediocre every year? You don't really believe Jameis will bring a championship to Nola do you?

We aren’t getting him. We will stay with Winston, Hill, Book, etc. We don’t have enough weapons to get him here and no money.

The situation with Wilson is interesting. While Seattle will likely look for 2-3 1st rounders, Wilson likely has the ability to force his way out of Seattle for potentially much less. Even if Seattle, say agreed with a team for two firsts and maybe a 2nd and 3rd for Wilson, he still has a no trade clause and can veto any deal. I still maintain if Russ really decides he wants to play for Payton, Seattle, who is facing a definite rebuild more than likely with a new coach, may have no choice but to unload Wilson for 50 cents on the dollar.

He would have to say he will only come here. If we get into a bidding war, we’ll lose

Pretty much exactly what I’m saying. Certainly not likely, but far from impossible as the Saints have always been one of his listed teams.

the 12th pick we just pissed away, only for the sake of paytons pride was what we needed, now that ship has sailed, and we arent in any position to offer anything they would take from us to get him, unless its our next 4 yrs of 1st round picks

Agreed. I'd expect the Seahawks to take that stance, sure, especially if ARod stays in GB or retires.

Way to upvote yourself moron. Imagine being a fan of a team with a very legitimate chance to make the playoffs and wanting them to lose. The definition of a loser.

So Seattle, already with D. K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett (and facing a complete rebuild) would want Thomas (who essentially hasn’t played in two years) and his huge contract. We could not be that lucky.

Why are people desperate to get him? I’ll take Winston for a much more team friendly deal.

Biggest issue is that no matter what the saints offer; there are multiple teams that would be able to beat it. Giants , jets, dolphins , Texans, etc …
So it would take Russel Wilson demanding a trade specifically to the saints for the saints to get him IMO

He has a no trade clause and it is reported he’d like to go to Dallas, Chicago, Denver or here

Dallas just inked Dak to a huge deal
Chicago just drafted Fields 11th overall

Denver has nothing at QB and will have the most attractive picks based on slot value. Some nice weapons too

None of the teams have a war chest of picks that stands out Over the other
