I really like how Rattler pulls ball down and runs when nothing is open down field. This league is a QB running league now.

I have CONSISTENTLY said that I don’t think Shough will end up being the answer either jackass. BUT you won’t know for sure until you hive him a runway of starts and see. I have said that his upside is higher (which doesn’t mean he’s the answer either).

But you have to see before the offseason…..jackass. So wasting time with Rattler, who limits the offense, is fricking retarded

How exactly does he limit this offense? Besides conservative play calling this year, I'd love to hear evidence of how you think his play in its entirely has limited this offense. Yes, he's missed a few throws but he's also made the same amount, if not double the number of plays that weren't there he created on his own to move the chains or get big gains.

I'd love to know your eloquent expertise on the subject.

I'm still rooting for him, but I cannot fully agree with this.

That TD to Shaheed was a BEAUTIFUL/BRILLIANT throw that not many QBs can make! 50 air yards with touch, from standing still without stepping into it and perfectly placed on a fast WR!......Buttttttt that was an 87 yard play, yet his other 19 completions only totaled 138 yards...I typically hate the arguments of disregarding plays saying "take X play out and they did nothing else" because it takes talent to make that play and they deserve credit for it, but this is one instance where it's justified because that is the only 1 big play we've had in 5 games.

We had a few drops again, but he had a few misses again like late on a crosser to Olave that could have been a much bigger play. Another was a complete miss to Juwan in the endzone that he sailed way too high, Juwan had inside leverage he could have either not thrown it so high that nobody could put a finger on it, or even throw it short/low since the defender was behind him.

I thought he earned QB1, think he's done about average thus far, and I hope he continues to improve and that this W and big play against a good defense gives them the boost of confidence he needs, but he still needs to elevate his play or else he'll be relegated to a career QB2.

ETA: On the big play, it's not to take away from him but moreso to highlight that we need him to make those big plays more and at least attempt those plays to help keep the defense honest to open up the shorter passing game and running game.

There has been ONE really explosive play in 5 games, and it came today. And quit with that play calling bullshite excuse. There have been plays all season where there are open receivers downfield…..and Rattler has taken the check down.

Look, I like Rattler as a backup……he’s just not a starter.

The way I describe Rattler is that he’s not the problem but he’s also not the answer

Agreed. He was better about not throwing behind receivers today.

BUT, the end of the half was dreadful QB play. Why throw a 2 yard out to the WR with seconds left? Why not put it up and give your tall WR a chance to make a play? He didn’t even look his way. And when he did throw to the endzone, it was 10 yards out of bounds. That’s just situational awareness and if we don’t get 5 turnovers, that’s the type of decisions that lose you games.

Well he needs to beat the fricking other guy out. All reports were that he didn’t even look better than Haener. I talked to you about this shite on twitter and you found the 1 guy who was a Shough truther and you are basing your entire stance on that 1 guy. You called Underhill and the other guys who said Rattler looked better in camps plants of the organization.

Why does he have more upside? Because he’s tall & white? If the dude was good in college I would be there with you and seeing what he has but all you have to do is pull up his college tape and see that he isn’t good. Our coaches thought maybe they could fix him but that hasn’t been the case.

We don’t have to see anything. I trust the coaches and reports. I hate the give a person a job just because. Go out there and earn it.

He finally hits one wide open receiver deep for 87 yds. Still dinks and dunks with bad ball placement. Take away the long ball, and he had 138 yds with 4 extra possessions. I will give him his due on running the ball and not fumbling.

With 5 turnovers (1 Pick 6), the Saints should have won by 20 points easily.

Rattler isn’t the worse starting QB in the league.

I dont know. I brought up the San Francisco model in another post. SF isnt built around in any QB. The team is just good. Therefore you can just plug the QB in and go. They got Mac Jones looking like a damn Pro Bowler this year.

PFF kinda explained a bit why the dink in dunk was in place. You just arent likely to get more than two seconds to throw the ball vs the Giants front 7. And the Saints offensive line isn't necessarily gonna be able to give the QB 5 seconds in the pocket to let routes develop downfield. I think if this line can improve together you will see more shots downfield.
