I think Gayle makes some top-down moronic decisions for both the Saints and Pelicans, all based on stupid shite like "he's a good Christian man"

Gayle and Lauscha put tens of milliions into covering up serial pedorasts who were "good Christian men".

Mickey doesn’t have a vision though. The closest thing he has to one is keep hiring CSP guys and somehow try to keep clinging to the golden years and fill in specific “holes”through moving up in the draft.

Because Loomis actually didn’t want to fire him as has been well documented.

This is why I’m ok with it. We need to start the rebuild and show a coach a trajectory. I don’t think we will be able to get a big coach that wants to walk in to the mess right now.

The next coach is a placeholder.

Nobody can win in the next 3 years.

Too late for the “Fire Loomis” shirts for the last home game.

Because he knows that any coach with his own vision isn't coming deal with this shitshow of a salary cap & roster situation. Loomis needs a brainless puppet who he can manipulate.

Joe Brady seems like a pretty sharp guy. I doubt he even wants the job & will have better opportunities available especially if the Jacksonville position opens up.

Also, I think it's beginning to become clear as day as to why Payton left. If it weren't for Brees there's no way he would have put up with Loomis for as long as he did.

Yeah I don’t see any of the young offensive coordinator types hitching their wagon to an aging Carr, very few pass catching weapons, a thin o line, a 30 year old running back, and a shite cap situation.

Maybe a retread, but for someone ascending looking for their first real crack at it, you’d think they’ll put themselves in as favorable a situation as you could get.

Brady is so young and Allen so good, I don’t see why he wouldn’t bet on another year of success there instead of settling for our bargain bin situation.

Of course. He wants someone who will be beholden to him. And he doesn't want an outsider to come in and realize he's full of bullshite and doesn't know his head from his arse.

Loomis is publicly saying he thinks that Allen is a great coach and the Saints made the wrong call.

So of course he will try to hire the exact same guy again, but Glenn is a less successful DC than Allen.

I was watching Fox 8’s Final Bet show and Garland Gilland believes NO changes will be made on airline dr.

He said hopefully they prove him wrong.

Lord this franchise is stuck in rut.

If no changes are made, it's up to the fans to not attend games to force a change.

Lauscha and Loomis control things and have their hands in Gayle’s purse…..they’re not going anywhere.
As long as their wallets stay fat, they could care less about anything else.

Mickey is infallible and untouchable. Its truly bizarre. Guy must have a whole pit of dirt on Gayle.

It’s not bizarre at all. Gayle never wanted to own a football team. She just inherited one. She doesn’t care enough about the business to be significantly involved in the day-to-day activities. As long as she doesn’t have to get involved she’s happy to leave everything to Loomis and Lauscha. She is essentially a business owner in name only with Loomis acting as a de facto co-owner.

It worked for Coach Payton. And we were, arguably, a much worse football team then than now.

They need something fresh. I’m okay with going the Joe Brady type route and having it not work out. I’m not okay with hiring Mike McCarthy or being lazy and hiring Rizzo. This team needs a complete reset.

Are we 100% sure Mickey is going to get to make this call?

The feeling in league circles is that general manager Mickey Loomis will lean towards someone he knows, with Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn -- who narrowly lost out to Allen last time around -- a frequent name mentioned. Interim coach Darren Rizzi is beloved in the building and expected to be a candidate, especially with the way a locker room decimated by injuries has continued to fight for him. Mike McCarthy and Bills OC Joe Brady have Saints roots, too. But the team is looking into all the top candidates.

And there it is. It is going to be the laziest hire possible. Get it through your skull now.

Get ready for more chewing out the punter and not having a backup QB developed. Oh yeah, and more of Kubiak calling predictable as hell plays. Fun times ahead!
