This is a good thing. 2 years in a row now two separate teams have shopped this guy bc of his terrible contract. First, the Rams, now the Dolphins. Watch and see the Cowboys (desperate as they are because of suspensions, contract hold outs and retirings) will overspend on this guy who hasnt done anything significant in 5 seasons.

Idk, the Dolphins are eating none of the money apparently, probably why we dropped out.

“Quinn will make $8 million from the Cowboys this season with a $1 million bonus for seven sacks, Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. The Dolphins already paid Quinn a $1.1 million roster bonus earlier this month, but Miami will kick in no new money, according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.”

That definitely seems like the sticking point. Dallas agreeing to eat all of it made it hard for us to go that route.

We could have made space, but why spend that much cap AND a pick or two on an aging pass rusher.

Maybe we can get a flyer on Ansah (and yes I know he's a year older but won't cost picks) for about that amount or less (with sack incentives of course). Let him play his arse off for us on a one year deal and see if he's worth it.

That is IF he can pass a physical.

Dallas may end up getting screwed. Quinn has a history of raising his fist during the Anthem. Old jerra says he won't tolerate any such actions. See latest comments on PFT.com

He sucks now

To be serious he'd be nice to have what Dallas was willing to offer him as far as money probably killed it.

We definitely need some depth after losing okafor.

this was being talked about for a few weeks now in D, didn't think we had a shot but i also dont think we put on the full press.

wouldn't mind looking at a mike wallace, resigning TDavis and Busrod

if this is Brees LY, lets fill all options to cover injuries.

I remember when LSUZombie swore he had sources and that quinn to the saints was already agreed upon between the saints and dolphins.

I remember when you melted down on here because of it, bumped a bunch of old threads, and had multiple posters laughing at you.

It was a combination of a few things. My buddy isn’t sitting next to Loomis and Payton on a day to day basis. Basically taking what he gives me and he gives me his best guess/assumption. And of course things always change.

Regardless, he was spot on that Cook would be a Saint soon and was correct.
