I do believe we could have won bigly with Taysom at QB a couple of years ago but....after he ripped his knee apart and we drafted a QB sadly that ship has sailed.

When he was playing QB as the starter. He had Calloway as a number 1.
Dude never cracked another NFL roster after his tenure here. Didnt even last here.
He didnt have any help either. You give him some BBW.
Taysom Could play. He did miss throws and he had a deep ball that wasnt very accuate.

taysom has had a career of coming back from injuries. people are overthinking this taysom thing a bit too much. WHEN he comes back, he'll be good. The end.

How much is Taysom
being paid this year ??
Last I heard he made $10 million per year but don’t know if he took a pay cut ??

The problem is he does NOT have a deep ball. Previously I had charted all his attempts over 30 yards and the film from that was absolutely dreadful, nothing but ducks severely underthrown. I say that as a big fan of Taysom, QB is just not his NFL position
I do agree that an offense with prime Taysom could win you a bunch of regular season games. But its not built for sustainability. Think of Drew's last couple of years where his arm declined and we rarely attempted passes beyond 25 yards, he was at least still surgical within that range but when playoff caliber defenses know that and have everybody up the field gets very congested.

In the 2019 Playoff Game against the Vikings. They could not stop Taysom Hill. Pulling Hill out was the worst Decision SP made that game. Lost that game. Brees fumbled on the 5 yrd line.
Hill in the Redzone is the most effective player you can have on your team.
If Saints would have just pulled Car, the last 2 seasons and put Taysom in inside the 20, they would have settled for less field goals.
He is a player.

Taysom is not a QB and he has already proven that.His roll as Hback as a option pass and run guy is great.If he is back to his old self it will be great for the Offense.

Cap hit is $14.2M. He will be paid $10.25m, $6M was his bonus to take a paycut (do not recall what he took a cut down from)

Not sure about this. If it allows us to win a few more games yet not make playoffs and blows our chances at convincing Archie to convince Arch to come out in the draft so we grab him, I’m going to be pissed!
