Ok, so a lot of kinks still have to be worked out.....but we are 1-1

Based on what you've seen so far...how do you see the rest of the season playing out?

I see us going 11-5

I predict that at no time will I be confident calling this team a contender, regardless of the record.

Why bother trying to predict the rest of the season? Just enjoy each game at a time. If the Saints can stay healthier than their opponents, that bodes well for victory. With that said, Peat needs to get healthy.

As another poster said, when Ingram returns, the identity of the team changes with it. The Saints are desperately missing him. I do respect CSP for not burning out AK over the first 4 weeks. I think that shows a committed strategy to handling the loss appropriately.

lots of tough games this year, winning 11 would be quite an achievement if able to stay healthy and head into playoffs.

I’m not worried about Drew and the offense. Especially once Ingram comes back.

It’s the defense that needs to play better. We seem to have made some progress but we gotta start getting more pressure on the QB. And Lattimore and Crawley have to stop getting burnt. I’m confident Lattimore will turn it around.Crawley? Ehhhh, we’ll see.

What is so funny?

6-10 or 7-9 is about accurate with what i have seen.

Could be worse, but both Drew and Payton can muster enouhh offense in a few games to win us two we shouldnt otherwise.

You been paying attention to the last few years?

I’m not laughing as though it can’t happen. I just find it funny we went from super bowl contenders to a possible 6-10 or 7-9 season.

well... we were lucky to beat the league doormat at home yesterday.

so I'd say 9-7 at best.

I will say we have this going for us

Previous Saints teams seemed to play their best ball normally all through the fall.

Only in 2009 after dropping 3 straight have the Saints ever carried that momentum all the way through the playoffs.

2006, 2011, 2017 were teams that could have made and possibly won a SB but seemed to peak early.

Saints really have nowhere to go but up based on the talent the team has. Ugly Septembers are quickly forgotten if you get hot later.

I really cant figure out why we seem to have gone backwards defensively, but offensively it is apparent--we dont have a 3rd legitimate option to go to.

I doubt Meredith comes back; i see no signs if life from Trequan Smith.

Next Sunday we are going to find out a lot about our team going forward.

I need to see more of the team before I can predict anything honestly. I want to be optimistic like you, but I want to see that they can bounce back first.

For now I am thinking 7-9, 8-8, 9-7ish. But they could easily get to 10-6 or 11-5 if the talent just puts it together

I wouldn't even want to make a prediction with the way this year is going. We are in some parallel universe where Fitzpatrick is lighting up the NFL and Blaine Gabbert just won a game with the Titans
