9-8 last year with no real quarterback outside of the first 7 games. Onyemata out for 6 games, switching QBs 2-3 more times after Winston went down, Thomas out for year, BUT top 5 defense.

Barring any injuries to starters, I'd say 11-6. Having Thomas back, Kamara, Harris, and whomever else we pick up in FA or draft as far as WR is concerned, should put us right up there for a playoff birth.

I like the replacement for Williams, I'm still very high about Adebo and Lattimore continues to ball out. Kept Jenkins, Davis, Ceedy, but would like another pass rusher to get to the QB. Other than Cam, and Davenport (when he's healthy), we need a push up front.

Not too sure about Armstead as he's injured quite a bit. Keep him? Let him go? Who knows what they'll do.

We've got a tough schedule this year, but if the defense can hold opponents under 17 points a game, and our offense can actually find the end-zone, I think we'll be ok.

I personally would involve Harris in more offensive snaps with his speed. Reminds me of Cooks.

I'd like to see if there are any FBs available for a low price. Miss the days of Kuhn, Karney, Neal etc. Feel like we were more of a smash mouth running team.

Lastly, should we look into Landry, Beasley, Jones, or any other WR?

How much of that 9-8 was on Payton? Is Allen and Carmichael = Payton? I think 11-6 is the ceiling if everything goes well. I don't see everything going well.

We play alot of playoff teams from last year.

12-5 if we get 2 healthy receivers, a solid OL, and no injury/Covid bug. Winston is more than capable of being “The Guy,” regardless of how some people feel about him. He was on his way to a good season before he got hurt.

The only way you’ll see a true fullback-led power running game right now is in Kyle Shanahan’s offense, and now Mike McDaniel. The Saints days of utilizing guys like Mike Karney have long passed. I’d personally love to see a strong 2-back run game complimented with play action passes though.

Predicting Saints record 2022

if they resign winston 8-9, possibly even 7-10

if they stay with taysom as starting QB then 11-6, maybe 12-5

if they sign baker or jimmy then 13-4, maybe 14-3

No way a running back leads us to 12-5

Come on man! Ya'll know what is coming, 8-9 or 9-8. Mediocre year with a tease at the end of the season to hopefully make the playoffs, but a likely fail.

What was so crazy about last year is that we destroyed GB so easily. Constantly whipped Tampa, with Brady at the helm for the last 4 or 5 times we've played? Atlanta isn't a threat and Carolina I can see splitting a game with them, as usual.

Should not have lost to Giants, and how do you go from allowing 27 points vs Tampa, to holding them to scoreless later on?

Shouldn't have lost to Atlanta, Cowboys or Dolphins.

Could have easily been 12-5 or 13-4 if we still had Winston at QB.

I honestly think that if we can pressure the QB better this year, we'll be a lot to handle for anyone.

One plus for this year is that we have our toughest teams @ home: Bengals, Rams, Raiders, Ravens.

Have to contain Burrow, Carr, Stafford and Jackson. Hit them a few times in the mouth and throws start to go off target.
@ Home:

Atlanta-W
Carolina-W
Tampa Bay-W
Los Angeles Rams-L
Seattle-W
Baltimore-L
Cincinnati-W
Las Vegas-W
Minnesota-W

Away:
Arizona-W
Atlanta-W
Carolina-L
Tampa Bay-W
Cleveland-L
Pittsburgh-W
San Francisco-L
Philadelphia-W

Terrible...you morons thinking Jameis can get this team to the playoffs is comical. He isn't good per NFL standards.

Who can get us there? With Payton Id say were definitely going if Winston stays healthy. With the new regime, we will have to wait and see. But youre a moron if you think he will be the sole reason we dont go.

AFC North minus Pittsburgh and NFC West minus Seattle are arguably the two most competitive divisions in the league so this season will be fun to test our mettle against.

Obviously a lot of off-season left, but with our options dwindling at offensive skill positions (and they’ve missed out of a ton of great deals ….) and no real GREAT options at QB, I’d say…

6-11 or 7-10

I’d be happy with 8-9 or 7-10.

Expecting worse.

Hard to predict before free agency signings begin.

Even if we don’t sign anyone in FA that’s noteworthy? I think we retain our 9-8 record, maybe even slide into 10 wins.

How the frick anyone predicting records at the beginning of free agency, before the draft, and we don’t have a qb?

Either some of y’all or dumb as hell, or y’all just get bored and decide to come say some dumb shite on a message board for the hell of it. It’s probably mostly the former.
