Now, this is a good thread.

quote:

“I look at it now, I’m going to have to be more of a verbal leader, because I’m one of the guys who has been here since ’07 and during the Super Bowl,” he said. “Some of the coaches are going to look to me to step up and be more of a verbal leader, and speak out to these guys, give them some knowledge of the game and what’s important to be successful.

“But personally, I like to lead by example. I like to go out there and show, ‘This is how it’s done, this is how you should do it, you should fight all the time, not give up no matter what the score is. No matter how many times you’ve messed up in a game, you’ve still got to improve yourself, still carry yourself in with a positive attitude out there on that field and off the field.’ ”
Impossible not to love the guy.

The man has class. And humility. It's a great thing noticeably missing from some men on our team

I remember we were in a bad spot and the crowd was going dead against the chargers. He had a balsy run that ignited the entire team and the Dome.

He was incredible vs Atlanta this year

It's crazy to know that in about 3-4 years no one from the 06 team might be here. Maybe Brees hangs on for a couple of extra.

PT will always be one of the most underrated players on this team. He runs harder than any RB I've seen

I have a feeling Brees, Colston, Thomas, and Evans will ride off into the sunset after winning the next three Super Bowls

I hope so, otherwise we'd be left with just old man Morstead telling all the young shipper snappers how he once won the super bowl.

PT has given 110% on every play. Always showed heart fighting for not just extra yard but extra inch. Even though more valuable than Reggie who earned 7-8'mil had to threaten to leave to get 2 mil. Nice to see him get the treatment he earned and will keep earning. Still blows my mind how he went undrafted after being so good at Illinois that Rashard Mendenhall sat on bench for 2 yrs till PT graduated .

One of the more underrated backs in the league.

I'm glad we have him on our side

I'm just glad to see him retiring one day as a saint.

One of the most underrated backs in the league and forever a fan favorite. He worked his arse off from nothingness on the practice squad to glory as a starting and Super Bowl winning running back.
