It’s like they kept Pete on for one more season to be the scapegoat next season to buy more time

The issues Duncan listed within that locker room aren’t on Pete, a new OC won’t change a broken culture

When you get down to it there weren't very many good teams in the League this year.

Dallas and Miami were both phonies I think.

Philadelphia completely fell apart.

There was a lot of mediocrity going around. And the Saints were right in the middle of it.

Yep, the offense was the stronger unit of the two this season. The defense was a bigger issue along with qb

That is my expectation as well and I hope I'm wrong

This team needs a BRAND NEW OFFENSE so badly

yep, but if you were a OC candidate, would you come here when everyone in the building is going to be getting fired after next year?

no one worth signing will be coming here, so whether its curry or a bum no one else wanted to offer a job, we arent getting much improvement as long as DA is still here

Sigh... there are plenty of capable guys willing to take any nfl OC job. Now can we find one is the question.

Here's the guys I'd interview...
Shane Waldron
Greg Olson
Klint kubiak
Jay gruden
Eric bienemy

ETA... I also hope we're reaching out to Nielsen just in case he doesn't get a DC job

I prefer Jon, but I just don't see him working for Allen. I'd like to see what Jay picked up while with Mcvay the last 2 years

Dennis hung on to Pete the whole season do that he could make him the fall guy at years end.

We saw this coming a mile away. It might've worked, too, except for the Jameis debacle at the end of the Falcons game reminding everybody that the head coach is the real problem. Saints gonna have a hard time selling season tickets.

Not that I’m endorsing anyone, and I know guys like Brady aren’t technically available at the moment, but below is a list I posted in another thread.

Eric Bieniemy
Ken Dorsey
Brian Griese
Jerrod Johnson
Klint Kubiak
Zac Robinson
Frank Reich
Joe Brady

every one of them would laugh at you hysterically and then hang up on you as soon as you said you were asking them to coach for the saints.

anyone coming here knows it means it ends any chance at another coaching job in the NFL

Now we wait for the inevitable hiring of Curry as OC

I absolutely wanted to hand over playcalling to Curry or whomever was next in line during the bye week when we were 5-5. That would have given him basically a 7 game interview. Now that it's offseason the job should be open to outside candidates as well and not simply a promote from within because "continuity and familiarity". I have no idea if Curry would make a good OC, but we need a shot in the arm

In a remarkable turn of events.
The Saints are expected to compile a six-team trade for the acquisition of Bills OC Joe Brady, Bengals QB Joe Burrow, Vikings WR Justin Jefferson, Bengals WR Jamarr Chase, for half of the current defensive roster.

I'm sure ticket sales are on his mind. A big name would help and the only one I think he could pull in is Gru. But can he get Roger and DA on board.

I would imagine this OC pic is all on DA. He must know this is his last shot not just here but anywhere as a HC. Why would he let Loomis pick a guy he doesn't want? Answer is he won't. Its his arse on the line next year not Loomis.

Good luck DA. I really hope it proves to be a monster of a good hire.
