He's a good writer, he just went on a 4-5 year NBA bender.

He just needs to get into coaching. He'd be a helluva position coach in the NFL, but he's the worst NFL commentator out there.

Like with most ex-players who go into TV, his main problem is reminding his audience that he used to play. Like every 5 minutes.

Gained respect:

-Everyone who sided with the Saints.

Lost respect:

-Everyone who didn't.

-And Paddy. Not sure if Bountygate related, but it has happened.

Honestly, I'm a tad disappointed in the front office because of the blatant cover up. It has caused a huge stir and there is the possibility that they lose their head coach for a season....also, multiple players. While I think I understand why they continued to cover it up, I don't like it...which is why its only a tad.

Gregg Williams of course....not only did he do what he did, but the D sucked. One or the other is worthy of lost respect.

Big Media (ESPN, NFLN, FoxSports, ProFootballTalk, etc...) They sensationalized this to extremes. With exception of a few former players, they all can suck donkey arse.

Lost a ton for this clown. He and his boy Peter king were the first ones really throwing stones.

I agree with almost every person y'all have posted who gained your respect.

They never had any respect in the first place, at least with me. Most of these media outlets are just highly-priced opinion pieces, being spun into "news". Nearly all of the people presenting the story are as dumb as rocks, Ryan Seacrest clones that take a first impression and run with it as fact like a retard running with scissors. If I want news, I only regard primary accounts as news before it gets thrown through the meat grinder that has become mass media.

I couldn't be mad at SP/LM at this point if I tried.
They're among the most responsible for ending what could have been a dream season for you guys before it started. I don't understand that at all.

You really believe GW is some total rogue getting away with running a bounty program? You guys knew about that shite for years and dared a Nazi commissioner to do what was expected of him. It's Payton/Loomis' job to know what's going on with the team in the same way that the buck stops with the CEO of a corporation.

You should be infuriated with both of them. They let you down. They can be forgiven, but to entirely absolve them of wrongdoing is ridiculous.

Yeah, I admit that I lost a little respect for those involved in the cover up.

They're great at their jobs, but they need to be cleaner and more honest going forward.

Heaven forbid anyone speak his opinion and substantiate with reasons for that opinion.

I had very little respect for Payton before his team's program of pay for injury. I have none now.

care to elaborate on why that was? Cause as it stands now, you just seem biased against Payton and overreacting to suit that bias

Now your just trying to hard. What exactly didnt you like about him leading our team into the golden era of Saints football and getting us a Lombardi. Launching our team from shite to greatness and winning it all. Shutting the media and the world up about how pathetic our franchise is and proving we are contenders year in and year out.

Other than the bounty program, how do you have little to no respect for this man?
