Pearce Jr could be the pick at 9 but.

First off I firmly believe the Saints have set themselves up to draft and offensive weapon at #9 by the move they have made in FA ( which is typically of the Saints to address needs in FA and have flexibility in the draft)
Having said that, if Pearce is on the board at 9 he would be a tempting prospect. I had Grok do a deep dive into possible character concerns with Pearce and basically it had one issue with a speeding situation where apparently he wasn’t as compliant as the LOE would have wanted but nothing came of it and not charges were ever filed. The general feeling of Grok is it’s over blown and possibly just pre-draft shenanigans where mystery sources make claims then delete posts and ver provide evidence. So the character concerns aside he’s a hell of an edge but likely needs to have a season in the NFL weight rooms to reach his potential. Then these the issue of who does he best out? Granderson or Young? I think most would say a top 10 draft pick would be expected to make an immediate impact, no?

I think Pearce Jr might fall a bit.

Wouldn’t mind him if we dropped down some and got an extra pick.

Grok can do some amazing things but I don't think it can accurately extrapolate/analyze the draft sentiment of character concerns given that no teams release the results/interpretations of their interviews.
The best you can do is go check websites and then hope that what is reported isn't a smokescreen by some team or agent.

“I was told that the Tennessee football program could not only breathe easier once Pearce left campus but that his pitch count in SEC play was not injury related. Pearce was seen as undeniably uncoachable and as a player with one foot out the door already this season, giving his coaches little incentive to put him on the field full-time,” Kinnan wrote. “I was told by one scout that Pearce Jr. is seen as the player with the worst character report of any player in this draft class.
I think he probably falls out of the first round. Some teams take players like this off their board completely. Trouble with the law isn’t the only type of character concerns. Sounds like he has a poor attitude and Tennessee can’t wait to get rid of him. He will be a bust unless he straightens out.

Money only makes players more of what they already are.

If Armand Membou or Will Campbell is there at #9, I'd grab whichever one they have ranked higher. Both can play OT or OG and they both could start as rookies.
TE Tyler Warren would be my backup plan, but there are some nice TEs in this class who will be available in rounds 2-4

Grok says he would draft Will unless someone drops.

I’m a big Vols fan and don’t want the team to draft him. He’s talented for sure but disappears too much imo.

Leonard Floyd
Dante Fowler
are two comps
and if so, not worth a top 10 pick

James Pearce is one of the scariest prospects in the draft. Insanely quick twitched, productive, weak, lacks explosion (his vertical is comically bad for his size and weight), 240 lbs, character concerns. I think he has to play off the Los or be a situational pass rusher. Like mentioned above, i can see him falling completely out of the first round. Don’t want to touch this dude at all in the first round

You don’t understand Grok or AI obviously. That’s exactly what it’s doing.
You know AI is not objective intelligent thinking right? It just searches data in a. Millisecond of the time it would take a person.

Funny his UT head coach and QB went in record to dispute that and said Pearce is a great football player that has matured on and off the field and will
Make a great NfL player.

I didn’t see where the HC defended him but wouldn’t be shocked if he did and wouldn’t change my opinion. They are not going to bash the kid to the media that is a bad look especially for recruiting. It doesn’t mean that is what he is telling scouts. I saw the qb’s comments and it had red flags to me in how he defended him. Basically he is a baller but doesn’t talk to anyone. Could be nothing but it doesn’t give me the warm fuzzies.
