Payton Turner

He had zero tackles last week, although he did have the blocked punt on the very last play, which helped.
For a first round draft pick D-lineman who is now supposedly healthy to have zero tackles, I find astounding. Is there any reason not to already consider him a massive bust?

No, Jefferson was picked before our pick.

He was not drafted over Jefferson
Maybe you were thinking of Marshall.

We already went over this. Our DE's were told to contain the QB so he didn't scramble.
They weren't pinning their ears back & trying to get sacks, which is exactly what we'll be doing on Sunday against the statue that is Tom Brady.

He gets kudos for the blocked fg, but it is disappointing a first rounder is only playing 19% of the defensive snaps and seems to have gotten beaten out by Granderson.

We took Ruiz in the Jefferson draft. Chase and Turner were in the same class, should have gone with Chase over Turner.

Pretty sure Chase went #6 overall. We had no chance of getting him. Pretty sure we took Turner at #28.

A big part of that is our other 2 first round defensive ends took most of the snaps, so not many were left for him this game.
Also the fact that he just came back from injury meant they wanted to limit his snaps as well.
As the season goes on he'll rotate in more and more.

How many games should a 1st rounder start before being considered a bust?

Is there any reason not to consider your posts a bust?
He’s behind a hall of famer and a monster in Davenport. Davenport when healthy is an elite D end. He’s had some injuries but we are far from the bust point.

His PFF was below 30. You rarely see someone that bad. And Jeff Heath blocked the FG

It was just 1 game & he didn't play much.
I wouldn't read too much into it. If his pff score & stats are like this by mid-season...then it should be cause for concern.
We need a much bigger sample size to form a legitimate opinion of Turner imo.

As we’re only in Week 2 of the season, an early candidate for most clueless post of the year. Well done.

I was on this site pushing to draft Jefferson harder than anyone. Check the draft threads that year.
Wouldn’t have mattered, CSP would have passed on him anyway. But entirely wrong draft. This was the Ruiz pick, only had to move up a couple spots.

I guess y’all didn’t pick up on the sarcasm. I was making fun of people who get mad that the Saints didn’t draft LSU players they never had a chance at
