It is an emotional response.

Let's blame an inanimate object instead of looking at and resloving the actual problem.

Much easier to do that than to have a real conversation about the actual problems.

Spot on.

Youve obviously never been robbed. Its a pretty helpless feeling to know someone was in your home.

Ive since bought a Glock 40 and its been by my bed for 3 yrs now and it has yet to sneak out and kill somebody.

Just another case of ppl in this country not holding ppl accountable for their actions.

Blame the gun
I dont see ppl calling for alcohol or vehicle bans after a person driving under the influence kills soneone.

Again, as I have pointed out, many Western Nations have both a war on drugs, and strict gun control. Drugs proliferate just as much there as here, but they have extremely low gun violence.

Like Mexico?

Doubt that demo has much sway with Benson/Lauscha.

How come we can all agree that this country is made up of a huge number of morons yet so many people think all citizens should have the right to own guns.

Does not compute.

Well...their "nuts" by your definition so no...they won't.
By the same token anti gun "nuts" never will either.

Sorry, but I own several and I don't go around killing people. Should alcohol and vehicles be illegal too? Just like guns you have people who know how to be responsible with them and some who abuse them and kill with them.

Based on this logic, all drugs should be legal. I'm all about the second amendment, but there needs to be more requirements on how people acquire weapons. Why shouldn't background checks and mental evaluations be valid instruments to purchase & own a weapon?

All drugs should be legal...but yes, buying a hand gun should be very difficult to do and automatic weapons should be illegal.

Quit acting like this POS went into a gun store and did all the proper paperwork. He has a felony record if I read it right which would exclude him from buying a firearm LEGALLY. He was in possession of a firearm ILLEGALLY. You can't stop that unless you arrest these thugs for being in possession of a firearm with a criminal record.

This tragedy should not be a platform for gun laws anyway. Same with any other senseless killing. Guns are an instrument. Nothing more and nothing less.

Background checks are already used. Mental evaluations can be a tricky subject. What would the criteria be for someone to fail?

Hey Sean. Shut the frick up and win some football games. Fine your players if you catch them promoting the thug lifestyle.
