Jeff Duncan was on the radio this morning (100.3) and commented about the article. He has zero inside knowledge and wrote it as an "what if" scenario. Don't get your hopes up.

I certainly prefer Sean here, but I'll be happy as long as he's coaching somewhere. Extra picks would be most welcomed

One thing I never understood is that they act like Sean couldn't make 20 million a year here. He was literally the highest paid coach in New Orleans. If I am Mickey, I ask him for his figure and I pay it.

Hell, I would even consider giving him an ownership stake.

SP coming back should be the only way Allen keeps a job. Move him back to DC and let PC continue to operate as he did before under SP.

You do realize Payton was here for 15 years. I mean, bill comes due year after year.

I still contend that he will never wield as much power with a GM in name only over him and an owner that will pay whatever he needs, but never interfere. He knows what he has and we really only have one more bad year of cap hell.

I would argue that the team we have now, which will most likely be the same next year, would win 10 games with CSP, so it ain't like he is walking into the old Jets or Raiders if he came back.

The one perk here is no one in the division has any kind of long term cemented success.

He’s not signing up to face mahomes for instance

Exactly ... next season, Brady is probably gone, so you are most likely going to face a bunch of rookie or second year QBs. Hell, Andy Dalton will probably be the best QB in this division next season.

Also, you will be coaching against Todd Boles, whoever takes the Carolina Job, and Arthur Smith to win the division ... not exactly a murderer's row.

He's a HOF coach that still has an innovative offense. If he wants to come back you take him.

Anyone wanting CSP back is a cuckold. Sorry to say it. He cheated on the Saints so goodbye and don't come back.

He also said the Saints brass laughed and made fun of him today for the article, basically implying it’s a pipe dream. I guess the diehards will hold out hope but we all know Skylene not Sean is having anything to do with NOLA again.

The NFL fine on Cam is another reminder of our bottom feeder status in the NFL. Seems like the NFL treats some USFL teams better than the Saints.

I don't get why some posters can't see this talk as just priming the pump. The more teams interested in CSP the more we get.

...and jeffy is just the chump to do it for us

That’s completely plausible. Claim he is coming back just to increase the $.
