What has Arch done and why do you frick sticks keeping claiming he is your savior?? The league is littered with sons or family of great players who didn’t do shite.

He is considered the top QB prospect in college, it is not because of his name, there is almost always a top prospect. There are also plenty of sons of NFL players that are no bodies.

ETA that doesn’t mean he will become an elite NFL QB, plenty of top prospects flamed out

Actually, he hasn’t had the opportunity to do much at all at Texas. That will change this year. Opening start on the road at Ohio State will tell us a lot. He will have to prove himself, of course.

Nothing of note. To date it’s speculation based on physical traits, performance in high school and camps etc. He’s not the first to be hyped on that alone, it’s just more noticeable because of his name.

He will have at least this season to prove himself (I still would be surprised if he doesn’t go back for 2026) if he falls on his face then he will drop. Saints fans just need a QB to pine for, as I said he’s a top prospect and given his family and that he’s from NOLA makes it easy to get overblown, but it will play out 1 way or another

He’s one of the most overrated prospects and is entirely loving of his uncles names.

He has talent but has shown nothing on the field to justify being a top pick in the draft much less even a top 3 round QB.

In the end, he’s a hyped kid that time will tell on but would be a perfect fit for the franchise and it’s current state of waste.

WHY? That is the question the OP has. He’s been in college and was able to play for 2 full seasons—what has he done?

Usually fans of teams who suck say things like “Tank for Luck” or whoever the projected #1 qb will be in the next draft. It’s not an uncommon thing.

He isn’t leaving Texas after next year though, so it is silly in this case

Because what he’s shown in limited action has been impressive and he has every skill you want in a modern qb

Grandson / grandfather? It would be the most amazing story in New Orleans sports history. One of the most amazing sports stories in American history.

Made even sweeter by the fact that none of Archies kids ever played for LSU or the Saints.

I dont see how anyone who is a Saints fan could not be dying for this to happen.

I wonder if Arch would wear #8 with the Saints - it would be so cool if he did.

People think he’s a great prospect. Size, arm strength, athleticism etc. Yea he gets a lot of attention because of his name but it’s obvious the guy has alot of talent.

Hows is it any different than Shough? 40 overall pick who did absolutely nothing in 7 years of college ball. But they think he’s a high ceiling prospect.

His hype is mostly around his name. He has done very little to this point to merit anything.

Weird way to spell Garrett Nussmeier. Or Shough or Rattler, for that matter.
