One week away from one of the best melts of the year

I love the NFL Draft. It truly feels like the kickoff to the new NFL season. Can't wait to read all the hot takes from the scouts here who watched a few YouTube videos or looked at a few mock drafts and will declare our pick a bust or a reach!

I love the NFL draft. Always have.
***Old man rant incoming
I hate the new format. I liked having the first three rounds on Saturday and the remaining four rounds on Sunday. Wake up early, do your chores, then 48 hours of non-stop draft coverage. This splitting it up on Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday is corporate money-grubbing BS.

Same. It ruined a long running tradition for my friends and I to gather at my folks' home in New Orleans and spend the entire day eating, drinking, and watching the draft. We still reminisce about those days.

I always thought your week 1 “fire the coach” melts were the best.

Given the trade we already made and what we have at our disposal...
The Melts will be thermonuclear this year. There's no way we do what everyone is predicting and pick an OT and a WR and just stay put.

Nfl draft melt is extremely ignorant. Guys on here have no idea what they are talking about. Instead of waiting to see if players actually pan out they act like they know more than the professionals. It’s bizarre to me because a lot of times those melts end up being about a great player and those same people will continue to do it year after year.

Serious question, what fun is anything to not have opinions? It doesn't mean we're always right. Hell the professionals bat a mediocre percentage. I loved the Stephone Anthony pick... ....

Oh boy, the little black and gold pom-pom waving, self-appointed president of the Saints fan club has arrived.

This is will agree with 100%
We'll get our annual dissertation from SFP on how we should feel about the draft pick. The one time a year he "graces" the board with his presence.

Agreed. I'm expecting a DT and a G, which I mean we need both these positions but if we do...

As long as we don’t draft another useless linemen I will be fine

The Ramczyk melt was epic. People were losing their minds. Marcus Williams as well.

We have pretty big needs at OT and possibly even G...

The Saints haven’t drafted a player I really wanted in the first in a while. So I’m definitely gonna melt. Can’t wait!

Same. I would just lock myself in the house with plenty of food and watch it from end to end. Of course, I wasn't married with kids in those days.
One year OU812 (or whatever he current user name is - he's been banned from Tigerdroppings almost as many times as he has been banned from Facebook) showed up Saturday morning with 42 beers, a case of cans and a 18 pack of bottles. He left Sunday night with about a six pack. It was an amazing display.
