Olave and Malik Willis or Penning

We could have played our cards right and had all three as a building block for the future.... This roster is so fricked, and without a first round pick to speak of in 2023.

Any word on penning return?

Didn't see his short sting, but what has Willis done to show you he can be a future building block. Stats don't look good (1/4 for 25yds, 4 runs, 16 yards, lost fumble) and I recall him getting pulled in preseason because he was too quick to run.
And, before the injury Taylor was showing signs of being a great pick
Better question, has anyone currently on the staff (save the Payton QB development argument) shown they have the ability to develop a QB?

Willis? I would have rathered take Pickett if we didn't take Penning.

Any first round pick on either the DL or OL for the Saints has been a massive injury liability.

They could have just taken Dotson at 16 like Wash did
Shoot, Olave prob there anyway at 16.
Still really hard to understand

I was mentioning Willis as a long term project, certainly not an immediate difference maker. He will be a good one.

Pickett should have been the choice. To make that kind of trade and to not come away with a young QB is stupid.

Based on what?

That's a broad question that could be asked of the entire draft process. That's why projections and pre-draft grades are given. Ask the scouts why he was graded so highly.

There’s just so much stupid in this thread.

But that’s just it. He wasn’t graded that highly.
So what do you see that makes you think greatness?

Willis? Graded highly?
Wasn't he drafted in the 3rd?

Pretty sure we could had him with the picks we gave Washington to move up for Olave.

Oh noooooo……all of the experts on here kept saying that Picket would be a wasted pick lol
