Not trying to be a dick but this shouldn’t be a consideration at all. A competent coach should consider Carr as nothing more than a stopgap until we can draft a replacement.
We're stuck with Carr another year. I can't imagine Johnson taking the job if he doesn't believe he can do something with Carr in the interim.

I hear John Gruden has some free time on his hands.

Unfortunately I can see them bringing Gruden in as a consultant

Yeah I am not sure how we can feel one way or the other about KK.

Do not take this as an endorsement, but I think Ryan Day will get calls as well. A lot of people see him as a better NFL HC than College.

Me too. If they bring in some "consultant", I think It will be Gruden which is very unfortunate. I have a hard time thinking this organization will go in a completely new direction.

Flores Johnson Vrabel should be first picks also Vance Joseph

Vrabel makes the most sense to me. We have problems everywhere and he’s shown he can build a competent offense and defense.
My opinion is that this team needs a cultural reset, and it's going to get one anyway whether it likes it or not, because most of the veterans who have set it are going to be gone in the next 2 years.
Hiring a guy like Vrabel, knowing we have to rebuild and it's gonna take 2-3 years, would be a good move.
Build culture, develop young players, and fix the cap.

A lot of people had the Bears hiring Day a couple years ago. They’ll probably have an opening this year too.

This is the biggest selling point for guys like Vrabel or Aaron Glenn

What does that even mean
Fans love to harp on these intangible things like “culture”
You know what would drive good culture bunch? Winning games.
And what does that start with? Pairing a good offensive coach with a good QB
If you lose your culture will never be good, ever.

It means a hard working, hard hitting team that doesn't give up, that gives a shite, is consistently fundamentally sound, and gets better
A team like the Lions is an example of this in action. They weren't good when Campbell got there, he built the culture, the guys bought in, they got better, and now they're good
That is the blueprint this team needs. Because the "other option" is to bring in a hotshot coordinator, and unfortunately, the talent on this team is going to get worse before it gets better, so that's a recipe for failture

I 100% agree with you. That's what I want.
I'm just saying I understand the selling point of someone like Vrabel, even if its not who I would choose.

The lions are good because they’ve drafted well and Ben Johnson has made Jared Goff look like John elway

I’d hire Flores. I don’t think his lawsuit was about race at all, it was about being forced to tank by ownership and also scheming to hire Payton. He was pissed and rightfully so.
Dudes a fricking good coach
There was a race component to the lawsuit, but I don't think it was against Miami. From what I recall, the Miami job started going downhill when the front office made him work with Tua, then tried to force him to tank.
The race issue was because he felt some of his post Miami interviews was so teams could check a box. There was a reason the Saints were the only team he interviewed with that did not get named in the suit.
I would like him as a legitimate option but would also have to defer to the front office/legal team to know if it would even be prudent to actual consider him.
