Not Discussed Enough: We Burned the 2nd Time Out with a Dead Clock :53 Left in the Game

HOW THE frick ARE YOU SO INEPT THAT YOU BURN A frickING TIMEOUT WITH A frickING DEAD CLOCK AT THE PLUS 33 frickING YARD LINE WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING TO WIN THE frickING GAME.
Now that I got that out of my system....
There was nothing and I mean nothing more egregious on that last drive then that time out call. Maybe we are more willing to attack the middle of the field with a time out to spare. You are in 2 minute mode. Get a play in and run it. We should never have been in a situation that we were risking a delay of game there. I don't know if it was on Carr or Carmichael but that can not fricking happen in the National Football League.

It was on both and the head coach too. Blame is on everyone here. People shite on Brees/Payton but again we took the little things for granted. This shite never happened under their tenure.

Insanity. I almost turned my TV off.
Same thing almost happened the next 2 plays.
Breaking huddle at :15 seconds and Carr yelling at lineman, waving people around and trying to beat the clock.

This isn't true - Brees and Payton always used a TON of timeouts and we seldom had 2 or more towards the end of games

Because they used them when needed. Brees/Payton were great overall in the 2 minute drill. If you don’t believe this, I dont know what to tell you especially compared to the garbage we seen in the last 6 games with Carr/DA/Carmicheal.

Payton would use time outs casually during the game but a Payton/Brees two minute drill ran like a well oiled machine. It may not have always been successful but it wasn't because they weren't organized and ran out of time.

as i understand it, that was because pete called a play that they couldnt run with the personnel they had on the field so they had to call that time out.
we have DA trying to be a part time DC and completely leaving the offense to pete, who spends most of his time calling plays they cannot run

brees was good for calling a time out just because he didnt like the play or just to scratch his balls. he treated the time outs as nothing worth saving. he was good for mid first quarter or mid 3rd quarter time out for seemingly no reason as well

I could be thinking about another play but the radio announcers said they had to take that TO or there would have been a 10 or 15 sec time run off the clock because whatever happened happens with under 2 minutes in the game.

Only someone who wants to defend this regime and shite on Brees/Payton would try to act like Brees/Payton were bad at operating the 2 minute drill especially compared to the shite show we have currently.
I feel sorry for someone who can’t appreciate greatness because you’re too preoccupied on hating on Brees/Payton. Go watch Brees/Payton- look at how many times they scored, were organized, operated at elite level in 2 minute drill and now go warch Carr the last 6 games- it makes you want to throw up.
