Unsurprising. Getting a really good QB through FA or trade went out the window when Payton left unfortunately.
Hopefully Jameis can be the guy we need, still unconvinced.

In Paytons 15-16 years please elaborate on all this quarterback talent he brought in besides Drew?
Are we talking tge Grayson wasted pic? Are we talking bridgewater who can't seem to stay on a team? Oh no I forgot it was mahommes whom he had handpicked and didn't attempt the moves necessary to get him but he'd trade two first to draft an often injured part time defensive player.
Yall know there are over 25 quaterbacks in tge hall that didn't have Payton as a coach

That we do have, plus it would have helped to unload some money given our cap situation, but it still would not have been worth it in my opinion.
Denver is getting: Russel Wilson and 4th rd pick

We have the players to match Fant, an average 31 yr old DL, and a terrible QB. Giving that up plus 2 1st and 2 2nds is pretty rich.

Per ESPN - Broncos have agreed to trade quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, defensive lineman Shelby Harris, two first-round picks, two second-round picks and a fifth-round pick to the Seahawks for Wilson and a fourth-round pick, sources said.
That's a lot to give up for Wilson.
