We have witnessed what happens to players with an reasonable yet different point of view than the cancel crowd.
For the record, I honestly don’t have a problem with this, but it is poorly timed. The public’s message to sport leagues has been undeniable fatigue with the liberal narrative injected into sports. This is poorly planned/thought out which is a shame.

This is what I've done so far this year... wait till 1215 so I know the kneeling and commentary is over. I love the nfl, and I love the saints. I really want it to stay this way.

So back to a time when a homosexual man or woman still had to fear coming out because doing so would ruin their career, get them ostracized from their family and community, or even killed depending on where you lived. What is so damn hard to understand that making sure people have equal rights does not take away your rights? How does making sure other people are included somehow exclude you?

Where did I say that they didn't? However you would have to be disingenuous or a strait up liar to not acknowledge that there are still people that haven't accepted recent progress and want to go back to times when that stuff just wasn't talked about.

Does this really affect your ability to watch the game? No. So why let it bother you. The NFL should always be trying to grow its fanbase. Maybe this is there attempt at that. In the end, it is a harmless gesture that won't get in the way of you watching the game
