This may be cliche, but we have a good core of young guys and vets. We win it all next year. frick the Falcons.

Could just as easily be the Falcons year next year.

A lot can happen in an off-season. Some moves work great on paper but never translate to on-field success, but I'd like to see them actually bang out back-to-back draft wins and make some great FA decisions.

I do feel great about our team though.

Schedule looks rough. It depends on if the league screws us with that or not. (Road TNF, Minn or major division opponents after their bye, etc.)

It may seem that way but it doesn’t work that way in the NFL. You have to take advantage of your opportunities when presented to you. The talent is so close from top to bottom an injury here or there, a bad bounce, a freak play, bad officiating, etc. can easily end your season even if you’re stacked with talent.

I doubt they drop another TNF road game on the Saints. CSP made such a stink about it this year, its on the radar now.

yep. there are no guarantees. we blew it again like in 2011 just 10x worse. look how long it took us to basically blow a NFCCG appearance again. last time was 2011. wow. this was the worst loss i have seen and i have seen a ton.

What are the Saints going to do about it if the league basically says “you don’t like TNF and playing on the road for TNF, well here’s another one.”

And it finally was our year... What's your point?

This was a golden oppurtunity for us. No Rodgers or Wentz to deal with. Beat Keenum and Foles back to back weeks and we were in the SuperBowl.

I believe this year was the year, it was set up for them to play a not so good Philly team with a weak QB, and then meet Brady and co. in the big game and get revenge on them too for early in the season. Now it's all gone like that because of a bad tackle, sorry, a missed tackle.

Yup, regardless of what would've happened in NFC championship or SB nobody will be able to convince me that this season was supposed to end the way it did today.

Our year for what? If any of the Saints go to the SB it'll be to watch the game not participate. Is that why they play the game?
The Saints have had many coaches and many players through the years. Except for one year the end results are always the same.
Actions speak louder than words.
No SB again this year, maybe next year . . . again.
That's my point.

Even with a lot of good players, things still have to break a team's way for them to make it to the championship game. The Saints had some breaks this season. It will likely even out next season.
