Dont like Corral. Besides Brady, who was the last successful QB in the NFL taken outside the 1st round? Im sure they have several, but I cant think of any off the top of my head.

Like Penning at 16
Love Jameson Williams at 19
Guess I'm cool with Corral at 49 with Jameis on a 2-yr deal

To be fair there were only 31 teams then he would have been last pick of 1st round in today's draft

and the answer is Russel Wilson.

others you may can put on that list
Derek Carr
Nick Foles (has a superbowl)
Kirk Cousins
Jimmy garrappolo
Ryan Fitzpatrick

depends on how you define success. If its had to be a hall of fame QB probably only Wilson. If its multiple years as a starter then there are quite a few.

Matt corral won’t contribute, get a playmaker

That third pick has got to be a WR.

If you have a high grade on a QB in round 2, you take him, no questions asked. We do not have a long term solution at QB, so you take as many stabs as you can till you find one.

I would be really cool with Mel's draft, but I would love to see the Saints draft 2 WRs with their top 3 picks.

When I have done the simulator I generally come up with something similar on the 1st two picks. Just makes sense to me. I generally have either grabbed a good DT or CB at the 3rd pick depending on who is available. Not opposed to Corral. He has shown an ability to improve a lot annually. Definitely has talent.

Matt Corral feels like Jake Plummer to me, but in the second, with those first two picks? I’m in.

They have to find a QB at some point. Neither Jameis or Dalton are the answer and I don't think Jameis will be able to stay healthy. He takes a lot of time getting rid of the ball and is slow AF. Hopefully Dalton can tutor Corral on the sideline and Corral would be ready to take over next year or the year after.

TE and slot WR are still glaring needs

As painful as it is to say this, that would be a great pick for Atl. Have heard more and more talking heads saying Atl plans to use this draft to build assets and essentially tank to be in position to grab a QB next year where they think they'll be drafting in the top 5. Atl front office is saying they don't see a top 10 value in any of the QBs this year, and next year's QB draft will be remarkedly better

Bad take. Until he injured his knee last year, I think the only time he missed due to injury was a shoulder/neck issue in 2017.

I believe Jameis has a better career trajectory than any of the QBs in this draft. And, he only played 7 games last year and looked to be improving with scrubs at WR and holes throughout the Oline. IMO, he still hasn't been given a true shot, so unless there is someone clearly better than him; the team is better off running 2022 with Winston and re-evaluate for the 2023 season
