How do we make this work? Murray is a beast but I feel he needs 20 touches a game to be effective.

You have Murray be the guy that runs the ball consistently and Kamara do everything. Have them on the field at the same time often

He seemed pretty effective early on.

How did we make Ingram and Kamara work?

Kamara is our second best wide receiver. Get him 10 targets a game and 15-18 carries. Give Murray 15-18 carries as well.

Keep everything the same, but anytime you would use Austin Carr, use Kamara

Wow, great point. Payton has never had to scheme for two RBs before. Does Ingram ring a bell, chief?

Go frick yourself, chief. Ingram and Murray are two totally different type backs. Coach tried to treat Murray like Ingram the first few weeks and you saw how that turned out.

Murray looks like a bigger kamara out there. Not as quick though obviously

Ummm. They just didn’t use Murray much in the first few games. He was still learning the offense. Big difference.

He was beasting early on as well.

All of our best teams ran the hell out of the ball in the 4th quarter. Expect the same when everyone is healthy

It just seems that it took the staff awhile to get a game plan for him.

I think they found it.

I agree Murray does need more touches to get in a rhythm as all RB’s do. Let’s not overthink this. This is the same vision SP has had for years with a 2 back system. One being a bell cow back that sustain drives and chews up the clock and one that in Kamara has the ability to take it to the house anytime he touches the ball! Use both of there talents! What you are seeing is a very deep team at a lot of positions. It’s a sign of great talent and a great system with guys who say “Next man up.”

I am not all that impressed with Murray. He's had plenty of running room thanks to the O-line. Even today, he tackled himself three times with more yards to be had. He good for a couple of drops too.

I think he's just an average back in a very good system.

Murray should get around 60% of the carries.

if payton can get passed his hangups about murry not being a great receiver and use him the same way he used ingram then the RB production goes way way up.

the problem is payton and brees have no patience for a RB that cant catch everything thrown their way
