Exactly. CSP often puts AK split out wide or in the slot to create match-up issues for LBs or safeties, for that matter. A healthy AK and Murray on the field at the same time will help hide the fact that we do need slot. Until then, AK used in this capacity is a solid option. A 3 wide set with AK and Murray in the backfield, AK motions out to either side would be deadly on any down! Play action, screens what have you.

I really think with the lack of WR depth that this should be the game plan. Put your best players on the field and create more mismatches with them using varying formations like the Saints are so good at doing.

I can see them on the field together. Without a true slot WR with the injuries, AK is the best choice. Lined up in the slot, or motioned out of a two man set. Could also be a little counter / misdirection action with two. Leave it all in the playbook until we need it in the playoffs :-)
