Multiple sources confirm the Saints have the easiest schedule in the NFL this season

I’ve mentioned it in a couple threads but haven’t seen any threads addressing it. More sources have come out this week confirming it though, and I’m excited about it since I don’t remember this ever being the case during the Payton era.
ESPN FPI: 12 of the Saints’ 17 regular season games are against the bottom 10 teams in the football power index rankings. The two best FPI opponents the Saints will face are the Jax Jags and Det Lions. Saints have zero (0) matchups against any teams ranked in the top 10 of the preseason FPI rankings.
Vegas forecasted win totals: Based on projected O/U win totals, the New Orleans Saints have the easiest strength of schedule for the 2023 NFL season. Outside of the lowly Falcons, it isn’t particularly close either.
If DA can’t lead this team to a division title this season, can his arse! 13-4

Haven’t been this psyched about Saints football since before Drew retired either. Might just be that the season is finally around the corner, but I have a good feeling about this season. Carr is going to be the real deal and I think it’s fair to expect a pro bowl season out of him.

No excuses for DA this year.
He wins the division or he has to go.
And we blow it up and start over for 2024z

Ben Johnson and Drake Maye sound pretty fricking amazing to me.

If we "blow it up" we'll be able to start the rebuild in 2026 probably...MAYBE 2025

I'm definitely pumped and think we hit double digit wins easy, but I have to call out the "confirm" part as that's not how it works.
There's a reason these things say "predict", "project", "preseason", etc. They have been dead wrong plenty of times when the games actually get played.
If we hit 13 wins, that makes everyone's schedule we play much harder than predicted, for instance (and would inversely make our schedule even easier than projected).
The opposite is also true in that if we flop hard and win 2 games, our schedule will be much harder than projected.

Correct. The formula is based on last years results. Every team will have a different roster, some with different coaches, etc. The true measure will be the records of the opponents results this year.

How long have y'all been Saints fans? How many freakin times have we had the "easiest schedule?"

I remember me some Aaron Brooks but I wasn’t around for any paper bag on the head “Aints” days. My saints memories are almost completely from the Payton era where the NFL was always “out to get us”. I don’t recall ever having a schedule recently that would be considered as easy a schedule as we have this year.

I hardly can remember that 14-2 Jacksonville year decades ago or any year ever when the Detroit lions

Unbelievable stat there. Let’s ride.

I believe we have a similar schedule to what the Eagles played last year.

So say we sh*t the bed this year and go 9-8. Even if DA is let go, how do we 'blow it up' and start over? I'd really like to know that plan of action.
