Hakim drops the ball, closely followed by Hartley kick to win NFCCG.
I remember everything from those including where I was, who I was with.
Hakim drops the ball will always have a place in my heart, because I was camping and we had it on the radio, then Jim Henderson made the "he dropped the ball!" And we recovered and I hear shouts from other campsites as we start going ballistic.
This was the first time I really got to share listening to Saints games, which has been my preferred way for a while...and with people who like the team as much as me.
I got goosebumps just typing this out.

You guys need to remember something: we were tied when Hartley kicked. That kick would end the game right there and send us to the Superbowl.
I don't consider Porter Pick in Superbowl that special, just well timed and full of points.
Then again, I was just happy we made it to the Superbowl. Everything after the NFCCG was just icing on the cake.

Too bad Belichick's face and comments in the post game after McKenzie came off the bench isn't vote able.

I totally forgot Hakim dropped the ball. But Hartley's kick HAS to be in the top three somewhere.
I very vividly remember John Carney's missed extra point after the River City Relay.

Surprised to see that the onside kick is winning this right now.
As a Saints fan it's not my favorite, but it's the only one of those plays that's pre-meditated in terms of doing something so ballsy-so I could see it being a casual football fans favorite play

I've never been a fan of Hakim Drops the Ball as a great "Saints" play because it's based mostly on someone else's mistake as opposed to a great Saints effort.
I know it's a significant moment, but I can't put it in the same category as the Gleason block or Ambush. I mean, Ambush was a ballsy call, hard fought amongst the players and in the biggest game in the universe. It's way more legendary than some dude fumbling a punt.

My top 3:
1. Porter's Pick 6 vs Colts in SB in '10
(People went plain BALLISTIC!)
2. Gleason's blocked punt vs Falcons in '06
(Loudest single play in Saints history)
3. Dempsey's game-winning record 63 yd FG '70
(At the time, it was regarded as a MIRACLE. It beat the old record by SEVEN YARDS.) Jim Barry kept showing it over and over on Ch. 4 Sports :)
HM
Hartley's NFCCG clinching FG vs Vikings '10
Loud, but not as loud as Gleason's block because many were too choked up to scream :)
Chronologically:
1967 Gilliam's opneing game KOR for TD
1970 Dempsey's 63 yard FG to beat Lions
1971 Archie's opening day TD run to beat Rams
Archie's clinching TD run to beat Cowboys
1978 Tommy Myer's 105 yard pick 6 vs Tarkenton
1979 Bordelon's Pick Six on MNF vs Raiders
1988 Eric Martin's TD catch from Hebert vs. the
Vikings in first playoff game
1990 Anderson's playoff-clinching FG vs Rams
2000 Milne's clinching muff recovery of Hakim
River City Relay
2006 Gleason's punt block vs Falcons on MNF
2007 Deuce's clinching TD run over 8 Eagles
2009 Flea-flicker Brees to Henderson vs NE-MNF
2010 Porter's INT vs Favre in NFCCG vs Vikings
2010 Hartley's NFCCG-clinching FG vs Vikings
2010 2nd half on-side kick recovery in SB
2010 Porter's SB-clincing pick 6 in SB cs Colts

Goal line stand (4th down) against Steelers in 1987 to secure first winning season and playoff berth.
Saints won 20-16 after trailing 14-3 at halftime. Most significant win in first 33 years of franchise imo.

Porter's INT in the Super Bowl. That was the culmination of everything - years of heartache and frustration evaporated into pure joy.
Other plays were great. NFC Championship game INT and Hartley's kick, no doubt. But, the SB INT by Porter brought more sports jubilation than I have ever felt. It will always be the greatest play ever for me personally. I was jumping and screaming and running all over. We finally did it. Just wished my Papaw and uncles could have seen it.

I think Porter INT is #1. Like you said culmination.
Gleason is #2 for me after Katrina, Saints being displaced, Benson threatening to move to San Antonio. It was a great moment that captured our home coming.
3/4 are very close. Hakim fumble for our first playoff win and Hartley's kick to put us in the SB. I'll go with Hartley.

1. Nfccg kick - could barely watch behind my gf. Once it went through, the crowd didn't leave the dome for like 45 minutes.
2. Porter pick six
3 Gleason
2. Porter pick six
3 Gleason

1. Porter Int in Superbowl - I never understood why people had to burn down buildings to celebrate a good party till then...anarchy and chaos rained in my soul and I wanted to burn Thailand to the ground or fornicate with all of its women.
2. Gleason Block - For any native Louisianan this was a well deserved moment that probably culminated in tears. I was 17 and cried like a little girl after going hoarse during 1 fricking play. One of the proudest Saint moments I have.
3. Porter Int in NFC Title Game - was on duty in the Marine Corps and unable to watch the game due to a Sunday game being played on a Japanese Monday Morning. However ESPN Gamecast was very exciting to watch as I got updates on a paper football type field letting me know that we were going to the superbowl. I immediately youtubed Bourbon reaction videos in an attempt to live vicariously through everyone stateside.
4. Ambush - Biggest suprise play in a SB maybe...however this thing took like 10 minutes to clear one freaking pile. I have a short attention span...and this seemed ridiculously drawn out for a play the refs were warned about...I sense shenanigans at work.
5. River City Relay/Bush Flip - Neither play is a play a Saints fan could ever forget if anything all remmeber both more vividly than all the rest. 1 was the turning point in a battle for the NFC crown a place no Saint had ever been before....the other 43 years of Saints history demonstrated on back to back plays.

Steve Gleason's block is hard to forget considering the situation and N.O.'s recent prior past. But NO PLAY ever has, or ever will, be as remembered as Porter's pick 6 in the SB. That play ended the frustrations of two generations of fans in one glorious moment. Everyone watching that new what was going to happen as soon as Manning let the ball go, even Manning. The only question was "Will he drop it, or is this really the end?"
