ZS was the absolute worst and somehow the Saints found a way to go backwards from there.
We are talking about play by play for only one of 32 NFL teams. A choice position and the Saints/WWL hired 2 guys with zero experience. It's absurd.

How many times does he say "Heading towards the Smoothie King center" or "He is kicking towards Poydras Street" as if this have anything to do with what is happening on the field? I left him on yesterday because it was synced up enough with the TV to not be an issue. But I cannot cite a single worthwhile informative comment that he made.

Mike Hoss was a good anchor on sports on WWL TV back in the day. We were so spoiled to have the best play by play caller in Jim Henderson and best color analyst in Archie Manning for many years. It’s time to cut the cord with Mike Hoss and look for another young talent to take his place along side with Deuce.

I remember listening to those last couple Mora / Kuharick seasons. You could tell that the low quality of play was really wearing on both of them. They did not sugar-coat it, and they made good radio out of bad football.

I like Mike Hoss as a person.
He is easily the worst play by play announcer in the history of the planet. Every word is cringe. So awkward it's almost comical.
I really can't understand how they continue with him - it's just so so bad.

I don't think it's too much to ask to have a competent radio announcer to listen to on gamedays. Win or lose.

You have to realize the Saints organization isn’t going to hire someone who is either not from the New Orleans area or has a direct tie to the area through media or the organization already. That is just not how it works in New Orleans. Kevin Harlan could walk through that door & would get denied.

I literally turn off the radio when they interview him on sports talk. I am sure he is a nice guy but terrible as a broadcaster.
