Is it ever lost on y'all that Mercedes jetted on us for the new stadium in Atlanta? You know - the one built in 1992 that was torn down in 2017. I know the dome is legendary for a lot of you but don't forget it was built in 1975. Not 1920 or 1935 or some shite. It's not Lambeau or Soldier Field. It's basically the Kingdome in Seattle (opened in 1976, demolished in 2000), it's the Silverdome (opened in 1975, Lions left it in 2001), it's the Metrodome (opened 1982, Vikings left in 2013). It's the RCA dome (opened 1984, Colts left in 2007)... and it very possibly could become like the dome in St Louis that the Rams left in 2015. We keep putting $100 million dollar bandaids on it. But once all that money adds up to what a new stadium would have cost and Gayle bounces on us because she all of a sudden wants a new one, will you still look at it the same way?

I want people to tell the state to stop spending money on tiny upgrade after upgrade and save up the billion+ it's gonna take to build a new stadium. Mrs. Benson is 74 years old. Isn't it time to maybe consider that eventually whomever inherits the team after her will be getting offers from San Antonio, San Diego and St Louis, etc? Putting new ramps or windows on the dome here and there isn't gonna fend off these cities in a couple years like a brand new stadium would.

There’s homeless people all over New Orleans, rising crime, lack of police, rising inflation, and moronic leadership. You really think the city is going to build a brand new state of the art dome in New Orleans?
At best the state helps out and you get a facility built in LaPlace.
