I actually think Dart is pretty good. I don’t think he goes at 9.

He threw really well at the combine.
Several folks think he is the next Bo
Nix/Pennix/Jj Mcarthy meaning teams are hiding how much they like him.
He ran a “one read” shotgun offense at Ole Piss which is the reason he is being thought of as a 2nd/3rd.
But if anyone runs that type of offense, ie shotgun and less reads, its KM.
Additionally, Dart is not as strong as Hurts but he is a solid 6’2 220 and can run. He could run a 4.5/4.6 at his proday. His collegiate rushing stats are similar to Bo Nix, indicating he can run at the next level.
If so then Dart could easily solidfy himself as a top 15 1st rounder.
Some say teams are looking at his 5 td showdown v Jayden Daniels and drooling - both Jayden and Dart scored 5 tds in a shootout.
Lastly, Dart has literally been on record saying he models his game after Hurts.
FWIW.
I think if Shedeur is in play for us, then so is Dart/Milroe and we arent telling anyone.

Agreed. Probably more likely in the teens/early twenties.
But I wouldnt be shocked by anything.

I am sure this is an unpopular opinion, but I think it would be a great pick. I would assume he and Rattler have similar skill sets that KM likes. It would also help us move on from Carr.
Look how bad the Falcons looked for taking Pennix, yet now it looks like the correct move. Signing Cousins was the huge mistake, but if you are convinced the QB of the future is there, you take him. If KM thinks its Dart, then roll with it.

Hopefully that means we are trading back a few positions and getting an extra 2nd rounder.
If it’s the Saints taking Dart. I won’t be very happy about it. We could probably get him in the 2nd round. Or at least just trade into the bottom of the 1st. Either way, I wasn’t that impressed with him at Ole Miss and that’s a lot of money tied up in Carr’s contract so you aren’t reaping the benefits of a rookie QB contract.

This pick would cause me to lose all hope. In a normal QB draft,Dart would be a 5th rounder at best. I think Rattler is way more talented and he’s already here. There’s a reason that NO QB that played for Lane Kiffin has been successful in the pros. His offense is nothing like NFL offenses. Dart has never made throws that he will be expected to make every game in the NFL.

If your logic is you’re going to play Carr and possibly Rattler this year then you draft Dart, let him sit a year, and worry about filling in more gaps next year
