Hardly out of necessity. Taysom was historically effective at it.

I'm not saying he's ineffective but there's nothing wrong with having multiple options. We have Taysom power or it's really short and Jameis sneaks.

If you recall the statistic of the saints having scored a touchdown 100% of time this season when they get to the 10 yard line...which was snapped on Monday night.

But short yardage plays happen outside of the red zone. Like the 3rd and 2 Taysom power against the Giants that flipped the game.

I agree in a perfect world that it is great to have mulitple options, especially if Ingram is effective.

My initial post is that my concern is that this move signals that Taysom may be out for an extended period of time. I certainly hope this isn't the case because utilizing Taysom and Ingram together would be fantastic for the offense and implementing a ball control style of offense to compliment the defense.

He is certainly not any worse than anyone we have currently healthy not named Kamara and is a hell of a pass blocker. Also well loved by his teammates when he is not busy injuring them, accidently.

Hey, this should rejuvenate Kamara a bit - it’s clear that those two built off each other.

It also presents a situation (with Ingrams style) that we can run Kamara wide and have Mark in the backfield. Gonna have to respect both, even with an elder Mark.

This is the most exciting part of this. Kamara got his boy back. You could tell AK wasn't having as much 'fun' on the sidelines or even post game.

Him and Snead. We need WR help. The WRs have really fricked Winston.

Snead is not the answer but he is currently a free agent. He was released by the raiders yesterday

Still need WR, but a formation of

Thomas

Kamara

Armstead
Throckmorton
McCoy
Ruiz
Ram

Taysom
Deonte

Jameis
Ingram

Will never happen because Deonte can't stay fit, Thomas has started 5 of the last 24 games, and Armstead is Armstead.

I’m excited. That’s great. He never should have left.

I remember getting the impression that Payton was pissed,,, made it seem like his agent took a quick deal without giving us a chance to counter.

Good, he should have never left, this was all due to his idiot agent. Saints would have paid what he got from Ravens but rumors are his agent lied to make himself look better.

Agreed. Should have been a Saint for life. He also adds another great locker room presence. It's clear, just from Twitter, how much he was loved in the locker room.

I also would love to start seeing us carry four running backs on gamedays, since Washington needs to play ST. Run all 3 of Tony Jones, Ingram and Kamara. In the 49ers rode a run game and strong D to the Super Bowl then so can we

Getting rid of ingram cost us. Believe me. Even if I get down voted.

I would use Kamara almost exclusively as a WR at this point.
