New Orleans Saints: Marcus Yarns, RB, Delaware

Small but explosive, Yarns (5-10, 193) ran a 4.45 40 with a 37 1/2-inch vertical and 10-2 broad jump at the combine. He flashed true breakaway speed as a runner and a receiver at Delaware, making 11 touchdown catches to go along with a 6.4 yards per carry mark over five years.

Nice. Hope he sticks. Really need a younger back that can house something out of the backfield.

He’s got good chops but dances a bit too much. If he can plant and explode, he could be interesting.

I thought you were gon say he was like 5'6 like Boston Scott and Darren Sproles was, but 5'10 is decent height imo.

Neal out of Kansas is a solid RB. But I hope Kendre Miller gets his act together because he's a talented runner.

I hope so too. But he’s been the epitome of just a guy when healthy.

ETA: I guess the downvoters are big fans of 3.8 yards per carry for two consecutive seasons.

Was surprised he didn't get drafted.

He sticks his foot in the ground and gets upfield well in these highlights. Has some power for his size.

I think he will at the very least be on the practice squad for years if not make the team.

I think he's easily PS material this year as he builds up some bulk. I can see him being a return guy this year, occasionally a trick play too. He's got speed, we need speed badly in the RB corp.

Kendre Miller

He gets another "injury" in camp and he is gone. Who does he think he is Derek Carr?

These are the types of small school players we tend to hit on more than the average team. There’s a clear role for him if he has the ability to take it. RB4 behind the ever so weak hamstring that is Kendre Miller could all of a sudden be the #3 guy. Miller can injure himself shaving. Still pisses me off knowing DA and Loomis took that guy over Tajae Sharpe.

At 193 lbs I don't think he will run through tackles at the rate hit did at Delaware. You have to be impressed with his willingness to run in traffic and take on tacklers.
